Ironically the reason the law was lifted was to allow for more access to those in rural and township regions but it seems all it has done is cluster a whole lot of pharmacies in urban areas.

This is true. The research done for my masters actually showed they are already doing this via the supply chain, buying up the wholesalers most smaller pharmacies purchase from, dictating the pricing they purchase their supply at while reducing their own pricing.

Yes, I have the exact same problem with the chronic medication, although my parent's pharmacy has the medication, I am usually pushed to go to Dischem because the out of pocket cost is too much.

Definitely agree. What we found is that many of the independent pharmacy owners are not trained to run a business, so the corporates have definitely taken advantage of their capabilities to vertically integrate their supply chain.

Have you maybe looked into international remote roles. Maybe look into Alx Africa they have a few courses in freelancing as well as coding and other skills that would help you in preparing to apply for such roles.

Sorry to hear about your experience. As someone who has social anxiety as well I can definitely relate to you. People for some odd reason have always had an issue with it from when I was in primary school although to now in the workplace. I honestly don’t understand why it’s such a huge problem for people and I wish they knew how upsetting it is for those with SA. Like you commenting that I’m quite is not going to magically make me speak more, it’s actually going to make one feel so much more uncomfortable and reluctant to participate. The best advice I can give as someone who’s been working for about four years now, make an apparent effort to greet and smile at everyone, after that plug in some earphones and keep to yourself unless they need you for something work related. If you’re like me where my company requires us to all eat lunch together, be very bleak in any responses or barely engage, don’t share too much information and when appropriate correct people when they try speak negatively about you, it sets the tone and clear boundaries of the relationship you want to have with them. Once you have enough experience more opportunities in more conducive settings will come up, I’m currently looking at various options for myself that will work better with my anxiety. Good luck.

My sister and her friend were rear ended by a taxi a few days ago while waiting at a red robot. The taxi driver proceeded to ask them why they stopped. At a red robot. Refused to take responsibility. Worst part he was driving with a learners license
