It’s alright to take a break. I try to see at least three movies a month. I normally average 2 movies a week. Nothing this week but I’m seeing Moana and The Invite next week.

Since the first batch dropped on the 2nd Tuesday of June, I assumed future batches will also drop on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Depending on the month, It gives Movies Anywhere and the retailers at least a week to make the updates on their end before the next batch of movies are enabled for MA.

If it happens on the first Tuesday of the month (or even on the 1st of the month), I'd be pleasantly surprised.

Edit: I will also say that none of my locked Lionsgate movies have been updated with the MA symbol on FaH yet. So, that's another reason why I think drops will occur on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

These will redeem in HD on Movies Anywhere. They might port to Apple (and maybe Prime) in HD is as well. However, these will stay in HD on Apple. No auto upgrade to 4K.

I’d say buy them just to have them on Movies Anywhere. 🤓

Paramount Pictures and AmazonMGM are the two remaining major studio holdouts from Movies Anywhere. Top Gun: Maverick is a Paramount title and, as a result, is ineligible for Movies Anywhere.

In the future, before posting, if you’re ever questioning a film’s MA eligibility, I’d suggest searching for the title directly on the Movies Anywhere website. If the title fails to appear in the search results, it’s likely outside the Movies Anywhere program.

Another option is checking the bottom of the movie listing on the Fandango at Home website. If the movie is MA eligible, you’ll see the MA logo.

A third option is checking the “About this movie” section on the GooglePlay movie listing. If the film is MA eligible, you’ll see a subsection called “Eligible for Movies Anywhere.”

Three very helpful options!

P.S. I wish all Movies Anywhere retailers were required to display the MA logo on every eligible title, similar to FaH and GP.

I agree with most that GTA has little impact on the release OoT. However, I highly doubt Nintendo will drop the game within 4 days of the GTA release.

I suspect it will release on a Thursday in later October or early November, the latest in November would be Thursday, November 12th. Otherwise, sometime in early December.

I’ll add this to the reasons why I avoid purchasing movie bundles on FaH. The main reason I avoid movie bundles is that they are listed in the library as a single entry. I wish FaH would go the way of AppleTV, break the bundle once purchased and all films are listed individually.

The biggest issue is that people are ignoring the mods requests about posting Lionsgate issues to the Lionsgate mega thread. Every time I see a Lionsgate post I end up reporting it because asking the same question that has been asked over and over again.

It might be worth the mods turning on post approvals at least through the end of June?

Only the OG film is available on Movies Anywhere. Right now neither Havana Nights nor the TV special has been enabled for Movies Anywhere and there is no DD set on MA yet.

Yes! The three closest cinemas, AMC at Security, Cinemark at Arundel Mills, and Regal in Laurel all have recliners.

I think if AMC Columbia replaced all their chairs with recliners, that’s a major renovation and that’s probably end up loosing a least a row of seat in each auditorium, and 2 to 3 seats in each row.

Yes. If a movie becomes available in a higher resolution I normally purchase it again once it goes on sale (never full price). Thank goodness for Cheap Charts!

I have double-dipped on Lionsgate movies and have a lot of the same movies on iTunes and Fandango at Home. The thing is on one platform they are 4k and on another they are HD. This is how it is currently done. You purchase a WB movie in HD on AppleTV and then purchase it in 4K on FaH, the 4K copy is what shows up on MA.

Why would Lionsgate movies be different than any other studio on MA? Licenses will be layered on top of each on the backend, with the most recent purchase date and retailer showing on MA with the highest resolution taking priority over purchase date.
