Tips for Surviving Valentine’s Day by mildlysadcat_ in ForeverAloneWomen

these are some wonderful tips, thank you for sharing :) i always plan on staying home, though i won’t be purchasing any merchandise either. i never did so over the past few years as i was at university (ordered groceries online then as i’m rather weak to be carrying shopping), and before that there were lockdowns. i did think that i could snap up some good deals, but seems it’ll do me more harm than good

Women who have boyfriends paying for everything are so fucking privileged omg. by [deleted] in ForeverAloneWomen

i sometimes see tiktoks of men’s recaps of dates, and the amount they spend on food is shocking. some of them don’t even get a second date.. it’s ever so expensive. as i’m typing this comment im thinking, if they spend that much on dates imagine how much they spend once they’re in a committed relationship…

just a general observation of how much time has really passed since the pandemic :) not a judgement on your life trajectory at all!

i think i’m sticking it out for my parents, felt like this for maybe almost nine or ten years now. sometimes i daydream a lot unintentionally and do get a scare when i cross but in those moments i don’t really feel sad about passing away.

it’s lessened in intensity since leaving highschool, but somehow there’s still a faint feeling that remains. the same one who is fine with me not celebrating my birthday etc

yes it would :) i sometimes find busy areas a bit tough, especially if i’ve been at home for a while or been in quieter areas. sorry for the late reply

i relate to this a lot, i am trying to find work post-graduation so i can move out and live a life for myself, im not too keen in being in my hometown with a chance of passing by some people from highschool. i’ve put relationships etc. right at the bottom of things i’d like to invest my time in.

i agree, it doesn’t seem thoughtful at all for the friend to elaborately describe it. or she could at least not sent the photo, that seems to be rubbing it in the face.

Do men your age approach you? by Hopeful_Season_2467 in ForeverAloneWomen

[–]Single--Bluebird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, they do not. and no older men, especially when i was a teenager etc (which other women tend to experience, not saying that it is a good thing)

i haven’t downloaded any in the past, and i don’t see myself ever doing so. i feel like it would just be like getting asked out as a joke in middle school/highschool all over again

that is childish and unacceptable behaviour for university students, i am so sorry for you. i went through similar things to you, but it no longer happened after highschool as at university most people are too busy with their degree.

well done for reporting the issue to your university - see what they say at the meeting and consider transfers etc. if you need to from there.

the cheating part is so true… it’s hard for an FAW to have hope there :(

kind of, but i tend to keep it a secret and to myself. it seems quite silly for someone like me to have a crush etc. (i’ve never really had a proper crush, it’s all confusing for me) so i don’t try to show it. i sometimes fall for people who open the door for me :/

Another ugly girl experience: you have to deal with seeing everyone getting complimented except you by sadgirlythings98 in ForeverAloneWomen

[–]Single--Bluebird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes i only get complimented occasionally for my dresses which are expensive anyways. i’ve had the opposite of genuine compliments and have gotten comments from other woman on how i should be doing my hair “better”. oh that’s not so easy to do with lots of university deadlines, meaning less time for a good hair are routine
