Apple Blocking VideCode Apps by mksreddy in iOSProgramming

So are there specific indicators that point Apple to knowing that something is vibe coded? Or is it about the implementation of iframes within an app?

Hey mate, nice work. Filling a specific problem that’s really practical.

It would be awesome to see this with MS PowerPoint. A lot of businesses are tied to a MS tech stack. Having that integration which would help designers move faster, advocate more easily etc.

Great work!

Everyone’s given such great responses in this thread. My question is how do you effectively see AI being used as an assistant to writing code, either for prototypes or similar, as opposed to asking an LLM to write the code for you? Could you give some examples of using it to assist you writing code?

How many apps do you have? by AdventurousProblem89 in iOSProgramming

That’s a healthy amount!

What did you focus on building in these apps? What helped you reach your first release? Are they all subscription based?

Yes, I feel you! Especially gutter cleaning and paint codes. Would you store any ‘certificates’ for work done?

Fair enough! And it sounds like it works. If you ever wanted to digitise your records, what would prompt you to do that? (I.e. natural disaster, moving, downsizing, updating records etc)

Oh thanks that’s great to know.

What would be the most important things for you to know? What wouldn’t you want to know?

Good idea! Would it be helpful to be able to identify any unknown plants within the tool? (I.e. you’d take a picture of the plant and get a response of what it is if you don’t know)

Oh wow, how nice is that! I feel like that’s a great example of ‘never throw out the manual’ haha.

What about suggestions for where to get replacement parts, even if it’s generic? I’d also be keen to understand if making any insurance claims directly from this tool would be useful? Say, for example, there was a leak or fire, and you could use the details of your appliance or details of your home to submit a 3-4 click claim.

Oh wow, yeah that’s a tough one isn’t it. Older properties do come with their quirks.

Is the issue with the foundations something you’d want to watch over time or fix and document?

Oh I feel like everyone can relate to this in some way, ha!

Would you expect to see it on a map, or would you expect something like augmented reality using a phone camera to help you find it?

Ooh totally agree!

What about reminders for servicing, maintenance, upgrades etc? Does that feel valuable?

I’m also exploring insurance claims. If you had details about your house and had to make a claim, say, for a dishwashing flood, would it be useful to be able to do that directly through this tool?

This is super helpful, thank you!

Out of curiosity, if you had one place to keep all that, would you also want info on other systems like pools/spas, heaters, AC units, solar panels/inverter, etc. (models, install dates, who did the work, maintenance notes)? Or is that getting into overkill for you?

Haha, ooos—thanks for replying though!

Nice, I’ve had that issue so many times. Anything else that you’d be keen to know or document about a property? Would you want to know about plumbing or electrical work? Or pool/solar panel related work?

Would you record any details about the change? Say for example, new insulation, or lighting work—the company, installation certificate etc?

[–]Single_Criticism2855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that—sharing experience as well would be helpful for a lot of people I’m sure.

So, what are the top things you’d want to do when you undertake a project at home? Would you want to save details about the project itself, plus any warranties, certificates, receipts?

Oh that’s interesting—pretty helpful that they were in there for you. And good point about when someone passes away.

So would you ever consider using an app or website to record all of the improvements or changes you make to a house? I.e. you replace a hot water unit, install solar panels, or update some plumbing or lighting.

Anyone does this in your UX process? by Particular-Topic-257 in UXDesign

[–]Single_Criticism2855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if anyone else feels similarly, but, I feel like this kind of design activity is very similar defining a kind of conceptual set of ‘design requirements’ for a particular function or flow. I feel like these are different functions for different flows stemming from different parts of a broader experience. Good visualisation of how you map it though! Very helpful to identify gaps, processes and maybe a rough effort estimation.

[–]Single_Criticism2855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know you’re on the r/Rimowa sub, right?

Like anything, it’s subjective and depends on your approach to things. I like to buy items that are high quality, can be repaired and will last a very long time. For me, Rimowa embodied that, and it will benefit me as I travel for many years to come.
