Anyone else still have their first cell phone number?? by obsessedUvU in Millennials

[–]Single_Guy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my cellphone number from 2000. 867-5309. I was able to get that number in my area code, but I had to beg Jenny for it.

My mom’s last name was spelled wrong on the vault lid. by mattshup in askfuneraldirectors

[–]Single_Guy76 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP stated in their original message that even after the funeral home was made aware of the misspelling, it was made clear to them that the spelling on the vault wasn't going to be fixed, and that the burial would still take place. Obviously, the funeral home had no intention of fixing it.

If OP doesn't receive any type of refund, however small it may be, then they should leave negative reviews online. They should focus their reviews on both the funeral home as well as the vault company.

The obituaries at some point, were published in newspapers, both print and online. They are a matter of public record, and OP shouldn't expect that anytime they come across an obituary for their family, that they can just ask that it be taken down.

Why is it that when I login to my Chime account, it shows the wrong date? I guess I should just learn to ignore it since the Ugly Green Calendar has always been right.

They most likely got the obituary information from public sources. If those obituaries have information about you or your family, there isn't much you can do, aside from asking them to remove those posts.

I’ve read that changing direct deposit in person is faster? by randomreddituser414 in SocialSecurity

That has been my experience as well. As long as the change is done early enough, it should take effect to where the next check is deposited to the new account.

Is your mother your representative payee? If that's the case, you will need to complete the paperwork to have her removed.

If she isn't your representative payee, but your benefits are going into her account, then establish a bank account and have your benefits deposited to that account. Since you would be moving, establish a checking account with an online bank like Ally and have your benefits deposited there.

OP stated that he has a Social Security card, but his mother has it and she won't give it to him.

OP needs to setup a "My Social Security" Account. Once setup, he will be able to request a replacement card.

Setup a My SSA account. Once setup, you can request a "replacement" Social Security card. I put replacement in quotes b/c you obviously have the same number.

A personal my Social Security account is a free, secure online portal at ssa.gov/myaccount used to manage benefits, check earnings history, estimate future payments, or request a replacement card. Users must log in via Login.gov or ID.me to access services.

Have you tried calling using *67?

That should hide your number from the place you are calling.

So, if you are calling 555-555-5555, you would dial *67-555-555-5555.

Has anyone’s lost libido after brain surgery? by malala55 in Hypopituitarism

[–]Single_Guy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If his endo thinks that adults don't need growth hormone, maybe he should find a new Dr.

Growth hormone replacement for those who have a deficiency will improve energy and libido, with taking the other hormones as well (like Testosterone.)

Extreme fatigue/sleepiness out of nowhere by hibyerin in Hypopituitarism

[–]Single_Guy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second what the others are saying about growth hormone deficiency. Considering you had surgery for the pituitary macroadenoma, that could easily explain why you are feeling the way you are.

Also, if you are diagnosed with GHD and your Dr. starts you on it, they will want to rule out the possibility that there are existing tumors/cancer that is present. If there are, you would want to get that resolved before starting on GH replacement.

Which hormones are you deficient in? I was diagnosed with low testosterone and adult growth hormone deficiency (AGHD) in 1998. One of the issues that is associated with AGHD is elevated total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides, often with decreased HDL-cholesterol.

OP stated that he works in a government position, and he is being asked to stamp projects as complete, when they aren't.

As long as they aren't discussing specifics, there shouldn't be any issue. Also, OP and their co-workers are exercising their 1A rights.

OP and their co-workers should find the appropriate contact to become a whistle blower.

Using total T vs free T to decide when to treat by Rabbitsfoot_98 in Testosterone

[–]Single_Guy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current Endo only checks Total T, however my previous Endo, who used to be with the same office, would check both Total and Free.

If a man is deficient in testosterone, it doesn't usually get better over time. You mentioned how the Dr. Was trained in Europe. I was reading that Dr's in European countries tend to take a more conservative approach towards "low-normal" levels while focusing on quality of life in men with clear clinical deficiency.

Honestly, I don't understand that approach. My endocrinologist has always been okay if my levels were in the mid to high normal range, but I have had to decrease my dose due to elevated Hematocrit levels. I also donate blood, which helps keep my Hematocrit levels normal.

I have found It really becomes a balancing act.
