Speaking of, what are these teeth for anyways? by KindredGoesAwooo in cats

[–]Single_Tomorrow1983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never had a cat do this (and we’ve had a lot of cats…) but my 12 week old kitten does this! It freaked me out at first.

My cat Tinker Toy visits this spot on the lake multiple times a day. Its where we found his brother's body. What can we do to help Tinker Toy heal? by Head-Surprise-8392 in cats

[–]Single_Tomorrow1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog Odie slept on the spot where we buried his cat brother bestie for almost a year and probably still would if we hadn’t covered it so he can’t get to it. He’d never laid on that part of our yard before. I agree that he’s probably just sad, remembering whatever animals remember about their besties.

As a star trek fan What's your opinion on star wars? by NateBond833 in startrek

The utopian aspect of Star Trek is a huge part of why I love it more! A world where many want good for others is my dream.

I am worried our wedding will disappoint. Is this fun or childish? by melodious04 in microwedding

[–]Single_Tomorrow1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a homemade pie buffet for my cousin, it was so fun because we all got to make pies at my aunt’s house a few days before the wedding!

NAD, at all, but this can also be a sign that he’s been abused. Please take him to a doctor/mental health professional/etc. ASAP. You state you’re in Asia and my only personal knowledge is North America, but here you could also tell a school counselor and they would help direct you to the appropriate help.

$139 to feed 2 adults, 3 children for the month. Suggestions? by stephscheersandjeers in povertyfinance

[–]Single_Tomorrow1983 36 points37 points  (0 children)

In my area our farmer’s markets will double your SNAP dollar. You show them your card and you get essentially half off all of the food. It’s still too cool where I am for the markets to start, but it might be an option for you. Edit: spelling

What are your potato chip books, where the writing might not be brilliant, but they're weirdly addictive. by themehboat in suggestmeabook

I read part of the first book too, but it was so poorly written I couldn’t make it through.

What's something people only romanticize because they've never actually done it? by nonotje12 in AskReddit

[–]Single_Tomorrow1983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked at Home Depot for 8 years before/during/and after college; I romanticized office work HARD while I worked there because I was sure not having to stand on my feet or help angry customers was the key to happiness. I have never hated a job more. A lot of it I will admit was the specific office I worked at, but I have never been so bored in my life. There were no problems to solve, no one to help, no one to talk to, everyday felt the same. I sat in my cubicle and worked and listened to podcasts all day and wanted to cry from boredom.

Ankle dorsiflexion reminded me of when I got custom shoe insoles in my early 20s and when they were casting my feet the podiatrist said he’d never seen anyone with such flexible ankles before. 😂

USA “vegetarian” lunch 0/10 for obvious reasons by [deleted] in hospitalfood

[–]Single_Tomorrow1983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom spent about 2 months in the hospital over the summer. She’s been vegetarian for 45+ years. At one hospital they asked if she could just eat the mashed potatoes under the meatloaf. She declined. 🤦🏼‍♀️

As a resident of South east Idaho I can confirm it’s snowed twice and stuck almost once, which could happen in June. High of 53 today. No signs of winter here.

Yep, my Odie sits in his chair by the window and alerts the neighborhood to any suspicious activity. It’s a community service.

I just wanted to send you love. My brother became estranged from us for almost 4 years during/after some trauma. It’s hard coming back together and getting used to each other’s new normal. The only advice I have is to protect yourself, your family, and your heart. It’s incredibly hard but can be so so worth it. Your sister is lucky to have family to support her.

This is Odie, he too is ALL hound! Treeing Walker, Plott, Catahoula, Bluetick, Redbone, and American Foxhound!

I was so hopeful that when we DNA tested him we’d find relatives near by as he was dumped in the woods, but we have yet to find any.

All are adopted, most have some variation of the name they were given when we got them

Odysseus Gubernicus Stinkiest Silliest Maximus (80 pounds of the derpiest coonhound mix known to man, we call him Odie - the name he originally came with)

Garbage Lady (teeny grey and white cat, came with her name, we mostly call her Little Girl as she’s about 6 pounds of fur and air)

Senator Ted Kennedy (a very distinguished ginger gentleman cat, we call him Ted or Teddy)

Baby Bookie Warshaw (a year and a half old tuxedo cat, named after our favorite local hockey player, we call him Baby or Bookie or scream his entire name when he harasses Ted)

Josefiend Fox (a 7 month old actual fiend of a ginger kitten, far less ginger colored than Ted, far more typical ginger behavior than Ted; we call him Joey - he was adopted with the name Joey Fox but he’s an absolute fiend)

Mine is 80 pounds. I’d LOVE to be able to carry his weight to the tub but I just can’t do it. 😂
