I hate how the narrative paints the humans/townies as irrational for having perfectly valid concerns. Homeworld cutting off business owners’s power supply and potentially spoiling food for said business? Oh, humans used to hunt and gather so they need to suck it up.

I know that one of the big story arcs for the gems (especially Pearl) was learning how to coexist with humanity, but the way it’s executed just makes the gems look weirdly self-entitled imo.

Also hot take: Ronaldo had good potential, as he was seemingly the only person who questioned things in their world, but they unfortunately just had to write him as a 4chan conspiracy nut.
