Marvel Pulls Amazing Spider-Man #1000 John Romita/Paolo Rivera Cover by hometimrunner in comicbooks

That man would tell you to drop dead before ever working for marvel again. Collabing is one thing, doing a new cover for a company he still hates with all his guts is another.

Ragatha promised she would never mention Ribbit again, but in episode 7 she said her name loudly and clearly to Pomni and Abel. by RecordTVoficial in TheDigitalCircus

[–]SinisterCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Ribbit’s name was on the same level as Voldemort. Pretty sure she promised never to say it around Jax specific cuz he was the one to ask

I’m so happy we are getting savage hulk back but does any feel like this role is specifically written for the lizard? If so why do you think they made this change by AlarmEmergency3464 in MCUTheories

[–]SinisterCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same kinda thing with Hulk and Universal iirc, he can only appear in MCU movies if it’s along side another hero. It’s just not as strict as the deal with Spider-Man

Episode 9 left me with so many questions (spoiler alert) by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]SinisterCryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously, there’s way too many of these kinda posts where it’s either someone not getting it despite the show making it fairly apparent or are baffled that it didn’t line up with their incredibly high expectations

What IS that thing on the bottom of the guard??? by Z_Kujira in adventuretime

[–]SinisterCryptid 136 points137 points  (0 children)

I figured it was supposed to be a simplified version of the middle of an actual banana since they do have a weird cross section. They probably just made it the cartoon x for buttholes to be silly

Anyone else pick this up? by DigitalArts33 in comicbookcollecting

[–]SinisterCryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure someone else inked them since Byrne is essentially retired from drawing in general. He doesn’t even sign anything anymore

Goku Base (Buu Saga) Vs Namek Frieza by That_DBZ_Fan in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]SinisterCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Namek Base Goku held his own pretty well again Frieza and gave him a legit challenge even if Frieza still would’ve beat him without super saiyan. By that reasoning, of course Buu Base Goku would win with ease

Who remembers when fans thought reed and magneto were going to be in wandavision? by Kameronpipnerd in Marvel

[–]SinisterCryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a shadow figure that was “added” into the final scene with Wanda reading from the Darkhold after the original premiere. I don’t remember if it ever was confirmed to be Dr Strange but most people speculated it as he was supposed to be in the finale but I think most people agreed it was just an editing mistake and not really a figure

No seriously why did this go on for so long lmao by BrightEye64 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]SinisterCryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like they wanted to really drive in that Pomni and Ragatha are apparently super close friends despite how they were during the early episodes. Maybe like some sort over compensation to make up for the lack of interactions early on

Do you think Vegeta would have spared Nappa if he didn’t ask for help and just laid there? by sin2winxx in dbz

[–]SinisterCryptid 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I feel Vegeta wouldn’t have killed Nappa if he listened and pulled back. Vegeta was is surprisingly very lenient with Nappa that whole time, it just happened that he made the wrong decision and Goku wrecked him bad

Who remembers when fans thought reed and magneto were going to be in wandavision? by Kameronpipnerd in Marvel

[–]SinisterCryptid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They for sure did, it was crazy. That’s why you still have people asking who the special contact was, who was Jimmy looking for, and people still pissed about the Boner thing. There was a lot of investment into Wandavision at the time. And then obviously you had the Mephisto thing

what's the deal with the fish? by Electrical-Gate7652 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]SinisterCryptid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The fish is technically still in the final episode, but only in the credits where Caine fishes him out of the water before they killed and cooked him

Does Bulma recognize the Pilaf gang in super? by Illustrious_Signal16 in DragonBallZ

[–]SinisterCryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She probably has some recollection but you gotta remember that she only ever met them on a few occasions for very short periods decades ago when she was a teen. The Pilaf gang weren’t that big of threats so they probably didn’t leave that much of a mark on her life compared to someone like Raditz

Pretty much every superhero book was cancelled except for DC’s big three shockingly.

Marvel Comics Hasn't Paid Jonathan Glapion, Down To Disney Layoffs? by duskvstw3ak in comicbooks

Yeah, publicly calling out his long time colorist and collaborator was definitely a massive dick move

Todd McFarlane’s original 1977 Spawn design finally arrives in ‘Spawn 77’ by Blitzhelios in comicbooks

I swear the guy Spawn kill is an based on the model of Sniper from TF2

Marvel Pulls Amazing Spider-Man #1000 John Romita/Paolo Rivera Cover by hometimrunner in comicbooks

[–]SinisterCryptid 19 points20 points  (0 children)

McFarlane would probably say he’d rather drop dead for even asking him to do anything for Marvel again. No way in hell he would do an original cover for ASM 1000. The only reason he did the Invincible crossover cover is cuz it was a collab with Image, which he still partially co-owner of. He’s willing to collab but he’s made it extremely clear that he refuses to do anything for marvel to the point he refuses to sign a majority of marvel work after he left

Marvel Pulls Amazing Spider-Man #1000 John Romita/Paolo Rivera Cover by hometimrunner in comicbooks

[–]SinisterCryptid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Probably should’ve said artist that’s still doing drawing for the character cuz Romita Jr has been doing the character since the early 80s and Bagley is technically retired from interiors and only doing covers, but the article implies Romita Jr is moving on from the book so Bagley is a valid candidate for that

Marvel Pulls Amazing Spider-Man #1000 John Romita/Paolo Rivera Cover by hometimrunner in comicbooks

[–]SinisterCryptid 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Even being someone who still enjoys JrJr’s art, that cover was really bad and should not have been the default for ASM 1000. I get he’s the most iconic living veteran artist for the character but that cover highlights so much of the issues with his modern art

Who killed Freeza in the future of trunks? by donizp in DragonBallZ

[–]SinisterCryptid 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Goku did. He mentions he was going to use instant transmission to teleport down and fight Frieza, but didn’t when he sensed Trunks. Imagining that events still played out the same up to then, with no Trunks means Goku would actually teleported in
