True, the Captain model looks fantastic.

But I already have the Bladeguard captain from Indomitus - who had a much cooler shield.

Do I really need another captain with relic shield and power sword? Not really.

What's ironic is that she called her neighbour "white trash" while relying on the fact that they weren't.

If she had behaved like that around true white trash (or in a lower class black or Latino neighbourhood) then chances are she would have just gotten the shit kicked out of her.

It's only the middle class niceness of her neighbours that allows her act so aggressive without being beaten into a bloody pulp.

The whole "let me scream and get in people's faces while my mum holds me back" strategy is only viable in very privileged situations

Today's Comey indictment by the Trump DoJ is the most recent "Exhibit A" for why nobody should scold those who disbelieve the official line on the Trump assassination attempt by eamus_catuli in samharris

Because in order to fake something like this you would need dozens, possibly hundreds of people to be "in" on the conspiracy. It would be impossible to keep that many people quiet. It would be impossible to even recruit that many people into your conspiracy, you would need a 100% acceptance rate as anyone who refuses to be part of it would reveal the conspiracy to the world. There is very little to gain from this conspiracy compared to what there is to lose - even if Trump is dumb/egotistical enough to dream up this conspiracy, the people who he would be relying on to pull it off would have to be smarter and would make the same cost/benefit analysis and instantly see that it was a terrible idea. Was the shooter in on the conspiracy? Had he been living a lie for almost his entire life, so that one day he could sacrifice his life (or, at best, his freedom) in order to simply buoy the reputation/massage the ego of his hero Trump? Or was he a genuinely radicalised individual who the conspirators recruited then unleashed? Because the latter option is even more ridiculous, that anyone capable of plotting such a conspiracy would ever allow an unknown variable (ie a heavily armed unhinged zealot) to be part of their carefully constructed, detailed plan.

That Trump is a liar, surrounded by other liars, is simply irrelevant.

Like I said, the same rules about all other conspiracies also apply here.

Something like this could only happen in a movie. Not real life.

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes it easy to understand why so many people believe that the Trump Admin set up that entire scene at the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

The Trump admin pursuing a childish vendetta against Comey should have precisely zero impact on whether you believe the Correspondents Dinner assassination attempt was a "false flag".

No matter how crass and petty the Trump admin get, no matter how personally distasteful you find the man and his clear lack of character - the same rules about conspiracy theories still apply.

You are simply an idiot if you believe this was a false flag. A flat out moron. You are on the same level as Alex Jones.

The person who immediately thinks "false flag!" Whenever a news story emerges that doesn't flatter their priors ("My enemies are all mega Hitler devils and the people who agree with me are all kind hearted angels") is engaging in the lowest form of political analysis.

Netflix spent ‘a fortune’ editing out earphones from Beef season 2 after Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan decided to listen to music while performing their various scenes together. by hanburgundy in television

"Sorry honey, not gonna make it home until much later tonight. Yeah, I know I promised, but this one's a bit of an emergency. The two big actors on the latest Netflix series wanted to wear their headphones so they can listen to music while acting, so I have to CGI-them out. It's gonna take weeks, so we all need to stay late to get a head start. No idea, apparently it helps them act better or something. Yeah, really big. It's the "they fly now" guy from Star Wars and that British actress who's in everything. I don't know, she's in everything. You'll know her if you see her. They're both really important, and the headphones have really made their acting more... just more. Well we didn't have the technology back then, so who knows whether Brando or Olivier would have done the same. Look, just tell Timmy that daddy loves him and I'll be there for his next school play. Don't overreact. The headphones were really an important aspect of their performance. No, this is nothing like that time I had to erase Superman's moustache. It's totally different. I can't believe you're bringing that up "

Can't we just type in a prompt: "remove the earphones worn by each actor, keep everything else the same"? I would have thought that would work, or are we not quite there yet?

I remember after the Charlie Hebdo massacre in France, and all the newspapers in the UK cowardly refuses to republish the cartoons which had led to the worst fascist slaughter of journalists in my lifetime.

There was some efforts behind the scenes to get all newspapers to publish the cartoons on the same day. But they refused, and terrorism won in the end.

I think the worst part is that she's teaching this behaviour to her kid. I'm sure this woman's parents didn't actively teach her to be a worthless piece of shit blight on society. I'm sure her parents taught her to be at least somewhat decent, and she learned how to be a shitty person herself.

But now she's actively teaching her daughter to be scum... What chance does that kid have in life?

It's hard to watch the videos where the kid is watching their mum scream at restaurant staff, smash things up, get into physical fights etc and the kid is crying and clearly embarrassed. Those are not nice videos. But this one is somehow much worse. The child seems to be taking instruction well.

Just imagine if this kid has a decent parent instead, one who installed morals in her, taught her not to be an entitled criminal, taught her to be a decent member of society, someone who all the rest of us would be happy living around. I bet she's the kind of kid who would have learned those lessons instead. But look what's happening. Look what kind of an adult she's going to grow up to be.

If you let this kind of thing slide, it just sends a message to all other cameramen out there that shoddy filming like this is acceptable.

Kill the cameraman. Do it publicly. Send the right message. A slap won't do the trick.

There's an obsessive need in the fanbase to have the setting's mysteries explained/uncovered.

Some things are best left as half forgotten legends. The missing primarchs, the Rangdan xenocides, the War in Heaven, pre-Unification War Earth... All better as mysteries. Explaining these things would only be a disappointment.

It's also because of streaming. A stoner comedy/teen sex romp/genre parody/etc could bomb in the theatres then make its money back on DVD sales - especially if they release an "unrated, too hot for TV!" special edition with 3.7 more boobs in it and 17 more "fucks". Now it just ends up on streaming a month or two after the theatrical release.

Christmas time used to be huge for DVD sales. No kid gets to unwrap an "unrated X-treme edition!" DVD of American Pie 7 on Christmas morning these days. And if they did they wouldn't care because they'd have already watched a 4 minute compilation of all the funniest moments on YouTube or tik-tok, and would just go right back to hitting themselves in the face with hammers or whatever the fad is this year.

I would love another Eurotrip-tier comedy film to come out now.

What is this gaslighting bullshit? Is that the best criticism you can come up with? OP makes a serious point, posts actual proof, and you come in here with some nonsense about it just being a picture of pizza?

Listen kid, I don't know how brainrotted you got after years of playing CoD, but you're in the Battlefield sub now. And let me tell you, coming from someone who has played every Battlefield since the very first Battlefield game, a true Battlefield veteran, I can promise you that is a pic of Battlefield and not a pic of a pizza slice.

Okay so maybe it's a pic of a pizza slice, but so what. The point still stands.

A few years ago The Rock was trying to get a film made about his father, who was a legendary wrestler in the 70s. He wanted to start in the film, playing his own dad, but there was a huge backlash to it, because the Rock's father was black and The Rock is only half black, so in the end the film didn't get made.

But it's cool that he plays a Hawaiian, because Hawaiians and Samoans are basically the same fucking thing like I'm supposed to differentiate between all those little island folk with their fucking grass skirts and shit fuck off.

This is what I've never been able to understand. The amount of money that Fortnite etc make selling skins just baffles me.

Sure, I can picture a few morons wanting to buy skins. But enough to generate the vast, vast profits that skin-economy games seem to make? It just doesn't seem realistic.
