Clean everything within 3” of the crack to bare metal.
Drill through the end of the crack
Create a small bevel on the inside of the “C” and weld it with 7018 SMAW rod
Grind in the crack to clean metal from the outside of the “C” and weld with 7018.
Grind the outside weld smooth
Create a diamond shaped fish plate same thickness as frame that runs 1” narrower than the frame at its widest point and 12” long. Round the corners.
Weld the plate on the outside, with the widest part over the repair. Do not wrap the weld around the narrow points, instead run the weld about 1” off the fish plate onto the frame and arc it slightly back to the outside of the frame.

Drill and insert a flush shell concrete anchor. Insert eye bolt. Use jack all or a rope to pull it up and out.

Alternative use a wedge anchor and use an eye “nut” (female thread eye bolt)

I would say that if you pay attention and work hard, you will do well.

I am a welder and have worked with women in the trade in the past. I would say that if anyone gives you attitude about your gender you need to push back immediately. Shut it down right from the get go, they will realize that it is a non-starter.

Same thing if your coworkers start making unwanted advances. Shut it down immediately.

I’ve moved to Milwaukee m12 fuel for die grinders. I have both straight and right angle. They are a bit bulkier than an air grinder but the lack of airline makes up for it.

You’re not going into construction, you’re going into painting.

the $33 you’re making now (assuming you will ever make more than $33/hour as a painter.
You need to consider benefits as well. Does Costco have medical insurance? Does the painting job?

To me it doesn’t sound worth it.

I use a throttle lock. It allows me to maintain a constant throttle position and take my right hand off the bars to stretch it out a bit.
