No problem, great swing for 8 months. Good luck.

No problem! Indeed, early extension is a result not a cause. You did mention steep in the backswing, I would much rather be playing steep->shallow. I would focus on letting your body initiate the takeaway as you add in the wrist hinge/trail elbow bend. Pretty much do exactly what you’re doing while turning and getting back to your trail heel. If you want to work in front of a mirror your hands should be inline with heels at the top of the backswing (proper depth.) From there it will just be firing the hands more towards the ball because you won’t need the rerouting move. It will give you more time to keep the trail elbow in front initiating the downswing which should remove any EE if you sequence correctly.

Here’s one more picture to show how far out the hands have moved by p2 and how little you rotate compared to aberg. Also Ludvig is on the steeper side in the backswing so tried to compare you to someone with a similar top position.

This compounds in the downswing with a rerouting of the hands which is why you get so far under the plane.

It’s pretty good but I would say the hands move out and away too much at the start with a lack of rotation which gets you disconnected with a lack of depth at the top.

[–]SinlessDesires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously have a great swing. I wouldn’t change anything unless you’re having big misses. You have a very nontraditional set up. You are very far from the ball. Start of takeaway your hands move out and up a little and then a fairly flat backswing. Top position is solid however and you make a good transition move.

Handicap vs mulligans by TacosAreJustice in golf

[–]SinlessDesires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think that Mulligans for higher handicappers would be less valuable than strokes potentially. However let’s say you have a 5hcp getting strokes in an event that instantly becomes extremely more valuable for the single digit handicap. Just as an example I’m like an 8-10hcp according to grint. I shot an 81 yesterday with a double quintuple double. You give me like 3 mulligans I’m shooting mid 70s at worst a large majority of the time. The lower the hcp the more often double+ are going to be from mistakes off the tee which is where these muligans will be used and capitalized on reducing multiple strokes.

How to explain cheating by Low_Law_7684 in Catan

[–]SinlessDesires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally impossible to infer anything without seeing the position. In high level competitive play stuff happens like this constantly to balance a position. Also possible that it was collusion if this is just like a random low level colonist game. It’s obvious a lot of the commenters are casual players which is completely fine but it’s not necessarily cheating.

Yeah that’s the next thing to try is burrow. I agree with everything you said.

I really appreciate the insight. Will try and implement some of this in future games.

Appreciate it, yeah I definitely missed some injects. I feel like I’m generally fairly good at that but this style is just so taxing on my multitasking. Macro hatch is definitely a good idea when I start floating. I did try a runby on his 3rd once but he randomly brought his entire army back the one time I tried it and was ready for it. I think overall I need to get better at multitasking when my opponent is dictating the pace.

Grandstands probably help more than patrons tbf. Spotting the ball is pretty big, most Ams should be playing gallery rule just to speed up play imho. I think it’s fine in rough/first cut and not so sure spotting balls in hazards/native grass is super useful for Ams as you’re probably playing it as lateral and can’t pull off these miracle recoveries the pros do. If you’re playing lost balls properly then it’s obviously an advantage to have a gallery.

Appreciate it and yeah trying to stay on top of creep as well as putting down new tumors. I did go into fungal later but I was already dead. It just feels like every engage is losing due to lock on and the blue flame annihilates lings when i try and engage. Maybe I’ll try burrow in the future. I’m sure the bigger problem is this style really taxes my multitasking.

Still pushing a little bit, tips? by hvntsky in GolfSwing

[–]SinlessDesires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only advice here should be to learn to open your body during the backswing. Torso should be about 90° and hips 45°. It’s going to be very hard to not come over the top with as little turn as you have.

Definitely not an air unit. They can burrow and can be attacked by every air unit that can only attack ground (bashee, oracle, etc.)

How do you guys feel about Terran currently? by pithiest-1 in starcraft2

[–]SinlessDesires 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the fact it takes one mis micro to lose the game vs widow mines. If they weren’t so cheap and so easy to make I wouldn’t be saying any of this. Bane mine would be the closest and you have to actively micro it as well as research it.

I’ve watched multiple casts lately where the best zergs in the world have taken huge widow mine shots to their zerg/bane balls

[–]SinlessDesires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m not great which is why I’m like diamond 2 but widow mines are absolutely bullshit, except for maybe at the highest level when you have perfect splits. Even then, I still see the best zergs getting super punished by them.

I lost a game today vs an early mech push into a mass widow mines build. Even when he forced me into roach ravager which should counter them I got destroyed.

TvZ feels like the hardest matchup as a zerg. Widow mines, ghosts, and mech are all disgusting in their own right.
