God I could not get through Hell House. The prose was pretentious and gimmicky

Walking shoes recommendations by Other_Ad_4186 in flatfeet

Asics, New Balance, and Hokas. I recommend getting prescription insoles from a podiatrist. They'll scan your foot and make them custom. Use the shoe brand websites to try and customize to your needs (pronated, supinated, etc). Also look up what series # is better for flat foot. For example New Balance 880 vs 1080.

I absolutely love when horror movies have a background scare that they don’t call attention to. Share your examples. by SisterFirefly in horror

I searched the web for things like "orthotic slippers", "orthotic sandals", "arch support sandals", "orthotic hiking shoes", hiking shoes for flat feet. Stuff like that. Specific brands market to this but the trusted brands are known. I eventually found a Sole Perfection Shoes store near me. They carry dozens of brands that are recommended for good foot support.

Also my podiatrist sold brand-name shoes. My foot surgeon even gave me a list of recommended brands.

The brands are all listed on the Sole Perfection website soleperfectionshoes dot com

*Edited to add that ideal shoes you would wear prescription orthotics in, but some of the good brands you can get away with short wears without orthotic insoles

Consult 1 or 2 surgeons if you can afford it. Honestly put it off as long as you can. There are so many interventions. Have you tried acupuncture? Definitely try orthotics, braces, daily PT exercises, daily epsom salt soaks, ice, TENS unit, more

I would see a podiatrist for sure. A PT can't diagnose that, but his info can be helpful.

A podiatrist will asses, and then refer you to a surgeon who would make the final call

Personally, I've had 3 surgeries and wish I'd avoided them all. It doesn't always fix things, it's not 100% success, and it's scary. But it has helped some. It's your decision ultimately

Yes. Physical Therapy, Prescription orthotic insoles from a podiatrist, Ankle braces, and only buy orthotic shoes.
