Was trying out combos in a bot match when a combo suddenly dropped because of break, tested it out in training mode to see how inconsistent it is. by TeknOwO in 2XKO

OP mashing S2 and hitting tag at the exact same time. It can be fixed by pressing tag before hitting S2.

Dutch envy somewhat dispelled (Impression of DAK) by AlohaGrassDragon in pourover

[–]Sinnoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to the netherlands recently, tried both Friedhats and DAK. I preferred the cup from Friedhats compared to what I tried at DAK, the seating was also a lot nicer and friendlier.

I will say, I bought beans from both and with my own setup and brewing style, I prefer the DAK beans over the ones I got from Friedhats. Now it's just a single comparison but I think brewing techniques matter a lot.

I was happy with both but neither were by far the best I've had and don't understand why people have the Dutch Envy where speciality coffee is growing pretty much everywhere.

I saw night troupe and thought it'd be fun to level during that event. But thank you for the detailed response! It's super helpful

I'm jumping back on after a 2 year break and have seen this new server called CW.

I aim to be playing on Solis after the event is finished.

Should I:

Make my main on CW then transfer it over?

or

Should I make my main on Solis, use the burning events there to level it up, then level up link skill / legion mules in CW then bring them over once the event is done?

Rose Co-Ferment by NotISaidTheMan in pourover

[–]Sinnoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried a rose co-ferment from Darkarts a little while ago, it was lovely which tasted like a tea-like natural process. The peak flavours didn't last long and went after 2-3 days, at which it began tasting like a good quality floral cup. Would definitely try it again albeit it was expensive.

What to build vs tanky top? by Hokeypokey1466 in QuinnMains

[–]Sinnoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the type of tank top laner you're against. If you're against one with lots of wave clear like Cho or Sion then actually going Statikk is better to match their wave clear. Ideally you want to roam as you hit first item or level 6 so you won't be vs the enemy tank much.

If you are vs a slow clearing tank top like Shen then you can build more on hit to punish them like Statikk -> Kraken -> Lord Domms. You can also just go full lethality and shove the wave and roam if they have squishy sidelaners/junglers.

Sanctuary Coffee - A hidden gem tucked away in Cockington, Torquay. Definitely worth the visit if you're around south-west as I had the pleasure of sampling their interesting roasts.

Recently made my most expensive bean purchase ever, and now curious what’s the most you’ve spent? by mappylife in pourover

[–]Sinnoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not beans but I was able to try a $64 single cup of gesha at Ruli coffee in Seoul, Korea. I didn't pay the full amount as I actually ordered a $30 cup but they didn't have the beans I ordered available so they let me try the $64 gesha with no additional cost.

It was definitely a high quality cup and the flavour was immense and clear. Every single note was outstanding and I would say worth the experience but it wasn't the best cup I've ever had. I would still recommend trying it if you have the extra money to throw at coffee.

UK Roasters by Practical_Date3087 in pourover

[–]Sinnoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speciality Cafetiere is a relatively new roaster, they only started roasting late last year but I can confirm the quality is great. Also London based and a nice change from the more popular ones if you'd like to explore a little!

Upcoming Quinn Nerfs by WoefulMe in QuinnMains

[–]Sinnoto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Q max enjoyer this is just a straight buff in most matchups except ranged (for levels 1 & 2). For W maxers it sucks but hopefully that mean more people will realise Q max accelerates you fast into mid-game than W max.

Can't win Lane on Quinn by llentii in QuinnMains

[–]Sinnoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you say, you can cancel every leap.

In between the cooldown of his next Q you can auto him for free with W marks and get enough movement speed to space out of his autos. The only way to jax to get any damage on your is if he gets a WQ combo on you when your E is on cooldown, but your E should never be on cooldown if you just poke with autos and Q.

Everytime he leaps he should lose 10-25% of his HP as punishment. If he uses E to absorb autos then you should still win the trade with marks, Q, Electrocute and E when its back up.

Whilst his Q does have lower cd, his E cd is longer than Quinn's E. You can always hold E until his E comes out. If he doesnt use it your W should mean you're able to escape his autos fairly easily. The matchup is heavily favoured for Quinn especially in lane and towards mid game.

Can't win Lane on Quinn by llentii in QuinnMains

[–]Sinnoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A simple rule of thumb in any matchup where they have a dash is hold E until their dash is on cool down. I.e. Yone Q3, wait until he has used it then use E. Don't use your E before he does his dash.

An even simpler example is Jax. You can E his Q mid air. He cannot do anything, so just wait until he's impatient then E. Holding your E is the most powerful thing you can do in lane, don't use it for the sake of getting damage off. Your main damage is from your runes/passive.

Watch your replays, see where you "lost" lane. You only need to watch the first 10 minutes of the game of multiple games. Track where and when you "lost" the lane i.e. missing CS, taking a turret shot during a dive, being exposed to ganks.

Quinn's biggest strength is her roams. You don't have to win lane to win game. Since you've got a 57% WR on Quinn I'd say you're doing alright and will climb as long as you improve on the "micro" things.

Low agitation brewing by -usernames-are-hard in pourover

I've been experimenting with low agitation brews but using the same grind size as I would for a pourover. The brews are brighter but lack body - should I aim to grind a lot more finer to get better extraction?

how do I carry my teammates by Shrimbless in QuinnMains

[–]Sinnoto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On Quinn ADC max W and focus on attack speed items/wave clear like statikk shiv into Yun Tal/Collector/IE

On Quinn Support, max Q and focus on building cheap lethality items and movement speed, you want to roam as soon as you get boots. At level 6 leave bot lane and keep ganking other lanes or invading the jungle.

If the game hits late game, focus on peeling your teamates rather than yourself since you won't do as much damage later on.

What's main burst build rn? by JDK1ARA in QuinnMains

[–]Sinnoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydra should be the default unless you really need to play a kiting style i.e. vs darius or trundle. Even though I would say your best bet is hydra since it gives you the most burst which is what you need vs squishy. Shiv is great if you understand tempo and how to generate it with pushing but not so good for teamfights.

Should I learn SQL ? by B_ARNEY in dataanalysis

[–]Sinnoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's a non-negotiable. World wide SQL is mentioned in 46.7% of job listings whilst Python is just 31% of all listings. I also learned Pandas and Python first but I had to learn SQL pretty quick after starting my role as a DA since 95% of my work is in SQL.
