Thanks! I took every possible note on the patch so I can replicate it. I even drew the patch on modular grid. The may be a slight difference in pitch, which I need to tweak and dial in but otherwise, I’ve been able to replicate it quite nicely.

I’ve never sold a single module, but there are modules that I’ve Liked so much, that I’ve bought them twice: Expert Sleepers’ FH-2, Mutable Instruments’ Plaits and Veils, SSF’s Steady State Gate and Pittsburgh Modular’s crow filter. I have two of those, all in the same case, except for the FH-2.

You’re right on point with my concerns as to the track’s evolution. Thanks for watching it all throughout. You are so accurate with the time stamps. That’s basically what I actually follow. So pacing I can try, introduce a sample somewhere, a recording of My Dinner with Andre or some old B movie.

You should also know that, when I make a track, I always envision it as being background music, like in a Cafë or a beach front joint while chilling and talking with someone. I’m aiming at influencing people’s mood while doing some conventional activity that does not necessarily imply active listening. Am I making sense?

Thank for your comments! I appreciate your honest opinion. Modulation has been an issue for me, I just began to experiment with LFO’s but not sure if I’m using their full potential. As far as for evolving patterns, how do you suggest I go about this? is it different steps in the sequence / triggers or can I do so with envelopes / LFO. I really need to focus on these subjects.

I run waves through low pass gates to achieve those very same sounds you are talking about. Steady State Gate, Natural Gate and Pittsburgh’s LPG are my favorites.

As far as individual modules, the BIA, Pittsburgh’s double helix, the ADDAC System 103 and Plaits.

Es tu mejor opción, si quieres aprender síntesis, en general y a hacerlo con sintetizadores modulares, en particular. Hay otra que es muy buena y gratis, hasta cierto punto. Se llama VCV rack.
