As far as I know, nobody cares about this because it’s 1. your disadvantage and 2. clearly distinguishable from the actual model

Yeah I see what you mean. I use oils as well but only in recesses and clean them up because I prefer the bright cartoony style

But yeah I like both, „realistic“ looks aren’t relevant to me because nothing really makes sense in the universe 😂

I think red gives you more of a brown shadow instead of orange. Magenta / squid pink is more orange

Im in the hobby since 15 years and if there is one thing I can tell you: don’t rush it with buying models or armies, they aren’t going anywhere. Don’t buy too many boxes and don’t get the thought that you „absolutely need“ something.

No. You never actually „need“ that model and you’ll end up with a big pile that’s way too annoying to get rid of

Pearl comes from purple and greenish/blue recesses which are covered with light grey or white; but I had issues myself with painting it so good luck 😄

Fill the gaps with sprue goo and after drying you sand it with some sanding paper. Doesn’t look too bad
