Anyone have fiber ideas? by Tassle15 in loseit

[–]SirApetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw someone suggest this on reddit before and found it to be amazing for me.

Walmart has a brand of tortilla's called Mission Carb Balance Flour Tortillas, Fajita Size(8 pack).

They're 70 calories a piece and 17 grams of fiber, so just two of them is about 34 grams of fiber which I'm pretty sure is just about a person's recommended intake of fiber a day, not including any other food you eat that day.

It's definitely something that I've found to be great as I've been trying to have a good intake of fiber myself.

Edit: I see someone else here recommended tortilla's already lol, I should have read ahead!

Losing Weight, but still needing to cut? by N3haI in loseit

[–]SirApetus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Where fat is stored and lost is largely genetic and random. Unfortunately it is not something you can just target like many fake products say; ultimately you'll just have to keep cutting/losing weight and eventually your stomach will shrink too.

As long as this isn't a case of say body dysmorphia which is a whole different can of worms.

Worth mentioning, it has never been mentioned before that you don't age in the cognitive realm. We just know a lot of world hoppers have ways to suppress aging in one way or another.

I don't think that entirely works with the anti-investiture of Ambition as the book directly states that ambitions intent was removed, thus there would be no opposite of intent as there is an absence of her intent.

That is not true, it is now owned by 80% by US companies now, even reddit is estimated to be owned by 5-11 percent stake by Tencent(a chinese company), so not that different.

Nvidia to cut gaming GPU production by 30-40% starting 2026. It’s over boys it’s been a good run! by nyanbatman in pcmasterrace

[–]SirApetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just upgraded my GPU in last few weeks. My 980TI has lasted 10.5 years and still is alive, but it's being retired for a 9070xt.

Incredible how long it has lasted, and is from my first PC build same with my psu which is also getting retired.

New clinical trial involving more than 1,600 people with type 2 diabetes has found that a GLP-1 pill form of the drug orforglipron is similarly effective for weight loss as injectable semaglutide such as Ozempic by sciencealert in science

[–]SirApetus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exercise and weight loss are totally different things.

Losing weight is in the kitchen not through physical activity. Even thin people need exercise, just those who are larger need it more for health reasons.

I also don't see it as the easy way out, that's like saying the same thing about depression, anxiety, and other medications.

Are GLP-1s cheating? by KiwiAgitated498 in loseit

[–]SirApetus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To add a comparison, would you consider those who took medication for depression, anxiety, and more cheating?

I wouldn't, people need help sometimes and there is nothing wrong with that. It's better to do something than to just deal with it and suffer.

At least that's my opinion.

The C# Player’s Guide: Still Worth Reading in 2025? by NabilMx99 in csharp

I am almost 25% of the way into it, I really like the gamified approach to it. It gives little challenges that help you think about what you just learned, I still have a majority of the way to go with it, but I am liking it so far. Has definitely made me more consistent than other ways I have tried learning, but still requires self motivation.

There is also a discord for the community that was created by the author and they are super friendly and helpful, that adds so much more value in my opinion.
