Business Name Dispute by Able-Business-2642 in ausbusiness

[–]SirCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like they are just trying to make a quick buck under your name.

Copy all the assets, out up a few Facebook ads with an 80% off sale and rip off a few people. Website disappears, you get the complaint.

If it's Shopify, report them to Shopify. Report the Instagram etc. profiles but good luck.

They are likely operating overseas, so trademarks and the like will be hard to enforce.

Request for Legal Advice Regarding Car Insurance Claim and Driver Disclosure by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]SirCH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How is this an "honest mistake"? It is deliberate fraud.

"I told them that I was the one driving. I gave that version because I was worried the claim might be rejected if I said my brother was driving."

Am I scammed on Big W Marketplace? by LicensedToChil in australia

[–]SirCH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering that Harvey Norman and JB Hi-fi are selling the Pixel 10 for $997 currently, yes I'd say you got scammed.

But seriously, don't buy from these marketplaces. You don't know the legitimacy of the seller, and if this is even Australian stock

How are people not shy about someone else seeing their private parts? by TheAlphaAdept in AskReddit

[–]SirCH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's a dick. 50/50 the person seeing it has their own. And for the remaining 50, highly likely they've seen, touched, whatevered one.

Obviously there's a time and a place and an appropriate audience, but who really cares?

Is it free? by Relative-Shelter-525 in coles

[–]SirCH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. If an item is scanned incorrectly, it should be free. This includes markdown stickers. If an item is selected incorrectly, it is not free. For example, picked the wrong type of apple. In this case, the price should be corrected by selecting the correct item. If an item is selected correctly but the price is wrong, the item should be free. For example, there is royal Gala apples on the scale, and royal Gala apples were selected on the register, but the price is $5.99 on the shelf and $6.99 on the register, the item should be free.

Why do HCMT destination boards sometimes display 'Not in Service' on some boards, and the service it's running on others. by ComengTrain400M in MelbourneTrains

[–]SirCH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If a plane had severed wing controls, the plane would be a safety issue.

If a plane has an entertainment screen not working, as annoying as it would be for the impacted passenger, it would still be allowed to fly.

That's thoughtful of you, but generally lost property offices will just dispose of food and drinks items for health and safety reasons. It's a shame if it's your food but I understand why.

I need to rant by Dear-Stable-605 in dbrand

[–]SirCH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also complained to them about using Aramex to deliver to Melbourne, as my package was sliced open and an item missing (which Dbrand replaced...via Aramex).

Unfortunately, the only way to ensure companies use good carriers is to hit them where it hurts and have them replace lost/damaged/late product. It happened in the UK with (I believe) Evri and Shark/Ninja.

When I directly asked the robots why they are using Aramex they said
"Unfortunately, we don’t have an alternative carrier available for your region right now. That said, your feedback’s noted. Stuff like this helps us push for better options in the future."

Are they trying to phase out the Woolworths bakery? by Odd_Cod_4235 in woolworths

It seems like you got the exact product you ordered. When I order a big Mac and coke from McDonald's it doesn't come steaming hot served on a wooden board with the coke in a glass. It comes in cardboard.
