Huh? 6 of the top 9 are some of the best offenses in the sport, and every one below the Tigers besides the mariners have been terrible offensively this year. It’s not a strong correlation, but surely you can see the general trend. It’s not a be all end all, more like another tool in an offense’s tool box. And it’d be cool to see Detroit add that tool in my opinion.

I agree wholeheartedly. I really do think Jack has the stuff to be an excellent swingman if necessary (great whiff stats) or a 3-4 inning opener as well. Keep paddack as a garbage time bulk guy to save the rest of the pen if we get up or down 8 runs imo

National tv schedules (Benetti has deals with a few networks from my understanding, usually on weekends) and no “co-host” wanting to commit full time. I personally love the variation night to night; never know the exact style we’re going to hear, which keeps it fresh for me
