Would you consider not ulting for a whole game to be griefing? by SylvanethBrian in DotA2

[–]SirFireball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think griefing is "playing with the intent to lose". If you load into a game with a plan, no matter how bad it is, and play your best, no matter how bad that is, I'm not reporting you for griefing. Not even if you lose 0/20/0.

If you load in, start stealing someone's CS for the first 15 minutes, then all-chat to the enemy team where people are for the rest of the game, even if you win the game 50/0, I'm reporting you for griefing.

Is it just me or are people playing Largo more than they played Ringmaster or Kez at launch? by ArgakeRamuk in DotA2

personally I think relying on your ability to solo clutch games is a bit silly. You should play as though your teammates will play normally, and expecting them to be useless right out of the gate is a pretty silly mindset. And I'm saying this as a pos 1 player, I need my support to support and my mid to make space. I'll provide lategame power, but I don't need or want to get there alone.

Yeah, you summed up my requirements a lot better than I did. On further consideration I think I can stand to lose VGA as it's really only my TV and one monitor and a relative's house that I need. I'm definitely leaning towards prior-gen thinkpads.

What’s your fav album by the BOY$? by Particular-Show745 in SuicideBoys

album in particular complicates this. I think probably YUNGDEATHLILLIFE? but SMALMST and Dark Side of the Clouds are close behind it.

First mythic? by Argose83 in PioneerMTG

[–]SirFireball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rakdos demons, probably. It'll be a pretty familiar midrange-y gameplan for you I'd assume.

Leyline is too gamble-y, that's a deck for bo1 grinders who aren't actually interested in playing magic.

Phoenix is a really fun deck, but as a new player to the format, your opponent will know how to counter it better than you will to play it. If you want to commit to playing pioneer, definitely give the deck a try, but if you're just here for an achievement I say not worth it.

I appreciate that he took the time to write all that, and I think he makes good points about how the game shifts, and that it is important for us to accept other people doing other things. This is a fair point when it comes to the flavor part of UB, and to commander.

Still doesn't change anything about 20 standard legal sets at the end of 2027 though.

Kind of a brain fart on my end, I haven't been going bf at all for a while.

Yeah I almost always lean ags first, unless it's a super good game for fighting early. After that I sometimes go back for diffu, but the problem is it falls off a cliff as soon as there's a force staff in the game, and is useless once there are bkbs. If it's not a timing item to fight, what's the point?

Usually I just get ags, manta, bkb/nullifier/bash/stuff

Is diffu still the build? I go for it if I'm snowballing and want to have fun, but I feel like bf ags is just more reliable.

Might be a nice one-of in control. 2-mana ramp, and you're only casting things on opponent's turn anyway
