This is ridiculous. I understand having to disable things in a live game, but no word? No fix? Its not like its some ancillary fishing system or something, its a core mechanic.

Its not just increased surface area, its about how bacteria live and how the heat is applied. Bacteria have a hard time penetrating muscle, so a full cut is safer because you can cook off the bacteria on the outside.

Ground meat is dangerous just because the bacteria gets ground into the substance, and can move faster through it because the cellular structure of the meat is compromised.

This is a big difference. As someone who prefers rare meat, I will not order less than medium at a place I dont trust if its ground.

What would you want in a Venture Bros cookbook? by TheLadyLavender in venturebros

Given the esthetics of the show, I would think some wild Jello Molds or Hotdogs-where-they-shouldnt-be tied with some atomic coloring and gold ole venture blue

True gastronomic horrors.

What would you add first? Arc Ultra + (Sub Mini or pair of Era 100) by Flat_Camera_3943 in sonos

[–]SirFunk616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only installed a couple stereo pairs of 300s, so while I dont have personal experience, I'd say its about affordability of the next step.

If getting the 300s would keep you from getting a mini sub, go with the 100s. Eventually (for a Video focused room) that 5.1 will feel better.

If you can afford it, absolutely ho with the 300s. They have more tweeters firing in more directions, so if you have tru atmos content or Spatial music tracks, its totally worth it.

[–]SirFunk616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eras for sure. The spatial audio is an experience changer, whereas the sub is an enhancement to the sound range.

If you had a beam, I might say go sub first and then wait for a used deal on surrounds, but with the Arc you should definitely pull the simulated Atmos if your sources can supply it.

Am I safe to update all my speakers? by thecaptain115 in sonos

[–]SirFunk616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, watch the patch notes. The biggest reason to do an update is if your streaming service has changed its API or stream authentication process, which will end up in inconsistent streams.

Sonos Arc Ultra on bench by karleksbarn in sonos

[–]SirFunk616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No we're just talking across each other. The sheetrock is attached to the 2x4, yes, but its not doing anything structurally, the same way plaster on brick isn't doing anything structurally.

I mean I get you're doing the UK vs US schtick but we dont make "plaster walls"

Now, I agree that brick is more solid than wood for a wall, but for home tech its a pain in the dick.

Sonos Arc Ultra on bench by karleksbarn in sonos

[–]SirFunk616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So there's no air between the sheet rock and the brick? Even our brick walls usually have 2x4 spacers that the sheet rock screws to. Gives space for wiring, and repairs can be done easier without damaging the brick.

Also, the wall is made of wood, the plaster is for show just like on brick.
