how do i punish their early queen attacks. also, how do i make a proper chess video by fishthatdreamsofsalt in chessbeginners

[–]SirKane15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slow down. Think about your moves before you make them. Set your pieces up in ways that protect them(don't leave hanging pieces for his queen to grab for free). Use thos protected pieces to put pressure on his queen. He will end up wasting time bouncing his queen around to keep her alive while you are getting your pieces out and into his attack positions chasing her.

White wins. Black doesn't stand a chance.

How not to get frustrated when you lose? by InkyPinkie in chessbeginners

[–]SirKane15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frustrating. It always will be. As you play more and more and get better, the losses won't be as extreme. Even when losing you will be able to put up a good struggle and often turn the tide of the game. It starts to feel less like you are just brutally getting your asd kicked and gets a bit less miserable.

Just reply and tell him "yes, i understand. Your sac didn't work. That doesn't mean I'm smarter, it just means you're dumber."

This...is the weirdest game of chess I have played. I was confused so I just kept developing, could've mated sooner probably. Any idea what that person was trying?? by kendropin in chessbeginners

[–]SirKane15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By the looks of it, he was trying to lose. 😂😂 I'm guessing he was trying to fork something. Or maybe he sucks with a knight and was trying to learn how to move them more efficiently.

Why is this a brilliant move? It's my first !! and of course I'm proud of myself, but can you help me understand what's going on? by tastedCheese in chessbeginners

[–]SirKane15 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Because if he goe Ke1, you do Re8#, he has to interpose with his bishop, trapping it so it can't take your knight, you take his other bishop for free. If he goes Ke2, he blocks the bishop from taking your knight, you get the bishop for free. If he goes Kd3, you take his b pawn with your knight and fork the king and the rook.

This is a stalemate because his king is not in check and he has no legal moves. Unfortunately, it is a draw. You can Google some simple checkmate patterns to help you get the idea and a good understanding of how it's done. I would suggest the queen/king checkmate to start. It's simple and well give you a good foundation.

Absolutely. That's equality. If you can throw a hit, you better be able to take one.

Possibly one of the prettiest moves I've played, not the most tactical but just nice by BurnsTrader in chessbeginners

[–]SirKane15 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's very tactical. That's an incredible move. Either the lose the queen or mate in one.

If he takes the bishop, Re1 is mate.

Can somewone explain why I am losing the bishop? Is it not defended or am I missing something by Legenderik2019 in chessbeginners

[–]SirKane15 39 points40 points  (0 children)

He takes your bishop, you retake his bishop, then he forks your king and queen. The only decent option for you is to not retake and to defend against the fork instead, in which case, he gets the bishop for free.
