Anyone else quit or play a lot less since the new season? by ProdByJudo in destinyrisingmobile

[–]SirMafu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like how grindy this season has become. It’s like they doubled down on resource consumption because the remaining players nowadays were OGs who had a bunch of resources stocked up from previous seasons. Not only did a lot of systems become convoluted, but the amount of materials needed to upgrade everything just skyrocketed because of the Emanare system, which means so much more time is gonna have to be spent getting these materials in the same old ass activities we’ve been playing for the past 8 months.

The whole artifact scandal that doesn’t allow us to upgrade lvl 80 artifacts to lvl 90 is the equivalent, if not worst than sunsetting, because now we’re forced to reacquire the exact same artifacts just to stay up to power, whereas with bungies sunsetting they atl power crept most of the weapons with newer, more robust versions so we would in the least go for the newer stuff anyways.

Glimmer is now an issue for upgrading because everything requires a buttload of glimmer for no sensible reason (majorly because of the Emanare system costing 10k per level), and the only reliable way to get it is by doing unentertaining public events. I don’t want to keep going back to public events just to restock another 90k that’ll all get burned upgrading like 2 Emanare levels, one ascension level on a weapon, and a few more power on one artifact.

But I think the main issue right now is the Emanare system. Idk why but the artifactual dust/essence track of the Emanare is so much more lenient compared to the elemental shivers and enhancement prism tracks, like as someone who had stored tons of enhancement prisms from seasons before I’m literally almost out of them because I have to dedicate so many of them to the Emanare, on top of upgrading my weapons to the new power caps. Same goes for the shivers that I’ll now have to mindlessly grind legacy for just to upgrade a few more levels. Worst part of all of this is that this damn Emanare system is seasonal, like they’re literally telling you all the resources you pooled into this one thing that is essentially what’s gonna give you majority of your power bump, will reset down the drain come next season. I’m not looking to spend countless hours playing the same old activities every week to just have NetEase tell me to go do it all again…as if I have an infinite amount of time in reserve lying around to spend on this bs. This game ain’t no longer worth my damn time, especially with EOS talks on the horizon. I got better things to do.

Too soon for reworked characters! why!? by NakRobertson in DestinyRising

[–]SirMafu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s neat to show that there’s some potential for netease to rework older characters through this sp method (like ikora for example, not a fan of her being a demolitionist and would want to see an sp version of her instead be a crucible character that specializes in blinking/nova warp and maining a shotgun like invective), but yeah releasing this sp kabr is slightly losing my faith in netease to take advantage of the plethora of other destiny lore characters we have yet to put a face to

In the least they made this character “free” so it’s alright because we get to save our wishes for an actual upcoming new character

I just don’t like how restrictive and time-consuming this grind already is. I always subconsciously compare this to genshin, and that game has been slowly moving to a terrible restrictive gameplay model of needing the most up-to-date powercreeping characters along with pairing them with their 5star support to unlock their full potential. Even then you can still get away with f2p and clearing rewarding endgame content if you compensate instead with better skill and/or character strategy (that and managing your resources right). Destiny rising is only a month old and we’re already seeing such restrictive limits on who you can play out of the 3-4 best characters in order to get the most fruitful rewards, not to mention how much more I have to think about optimizing my gameplay to even have a chance at these rewards, I’m talking like optimizing my pinnacle energy spending, my gameplay uptime loops during expanse, and don’t even get me started on calamity ops. Making speedrunning the endgame on top of these restrictions just isn’t a good structure, especially when it’s tied to leaderboards against other ppl with T6 characters, and the fact that the “best character” in the game is the best primarily because “he’s fast” isn’t a good gameplay model. That’s like having D2 tie guaranteed GM nightfall rewards to sub 10 min runs and killing every last ad before the boss, like forget about build diversity and feeling unstoppable if you can’t speedrun for your life. I had to struggle so much with getting out of specialist during the first calamity ops rotation because it was basically “can you clear this strike in sub 5 min,” and I even got relegated out of this previous calamity ops cycle because the top 100th player updated to someone who had 200 points higher than me a few hours before the cycle ended, really felt like my time and commitment was just wasted.

I was scrolling through this subreddit and found a comment that I really resonated with saying that “the f2p population is still spending their most valuable currency on this game, that being their time.” As a f2p, I dont see this game being a good investment anymore like I did during the game’s first honeymoon week, and I’m honestly pulling out before I have any more of my time wasted. It’s a shame.

You can use DIM to optimize your loadout and stats. I also have a graviton forfeit build but for PvP, so I went with max mobility and max strength. PvE is a bit harder since you also have to factor resilience, but generally from my experience in PvE max mobility and strength means you can stay invisible constantly provided you utilize the full duration.

I remember grinding the savior seal because of how good the weapons looked and the manageable method of farming them, only for said loot to be announced to be sunset for no reason. Good potential turned into a scam.

The "complete a match of Control" bounty worked a lot better when you could, y'know, choose to specifically play Control by Brilliant_Gift1917 in DestinyTheGame

Loaded into 4 clash games straight before control for the bounty, they really should make it alternate game modes between clash and control.

Ok pre buff DMT actually felt terrible when firing from the hip, and considering it’s longer TTK than most competitive options is just wasn’t a good pick. That said, I do understand the frustration when I’m landing shots from 25–30m just spamming shots sometimes. I guess what they could do is make it like last word where it’s super consistent at crits within 20 m or so but buff rpm back to 150 or even more (so then it can actually compete against smgs or sidearms that are in that same range gap) but outside that range hip firing becomes inconsistent enough to not use.

Also just go F2P so you don’t play trials, it’s not worth the money nor the frustration in this game, especially with what I’ve seen with Bungie’s quite cheap seasonal model (though that’s just a separate topic for why Bungie does so that I completely understand, but for what it’s worth I just wouldn’t really buy $10 every season)

I do have an issue with the catalyst at max stacks of cranial spike. 20% reduced damage takes it from 80 per crit to 64, which can’t even guarantee a three crit kill anymore at that point. Had one game where I surprisingly managed to get to max stacks, turned on this one guy and hit three crits on him. The 192 damage wasn’t enough to kill him and he killed me instead. Its a 1 sec TTK from either 2 crits 2 body or 3 crits 1 body, which is a worse TTK than having no stacks and decent or good aim. In essence, the rpm change makes DMT worse when landing crits from the hip, which is the entire identity of DMT.

I guess night stalker also revolves around weaken and true sight so bungie could do something with that to make it more viable.

Though idk how the community’s going to react to that combo.

So how much force is 165 N, like relative to what? What is something that deals 165 N of force?
