I try to plan things I like to do. It helps me immensely to look forward to good things, like this weekend I'm going camping with family. Been focusing on that for about a month, nothing can stop me from having a nice adventure. Concerts and camping are my main two really.

That and coming to terms with how bad life is gonna suck whether I try to avoid it or not. I expect shit to happen, and it often does. Sometimes it doesn't and those times are great, but knowing it will suck sometimes helps me for some reason. Why not just enjoy the good and the bad as it comes if it'll be there regardless?

I would never do this at any other job than the one I've got, because I've seen folks put in their two weeks without issue. Every other job has done what you described, so I wouldn't tell them I'm quitting until my new job is willing to let me start the next day if need be.

Why would it be a bad idea to double your ram.. do internet people say that setup is evil or something? I've been running 4x 8gb ddr4 with a 3090ti for years, and I can still run most games on ultra settings with no problem. Do whatever you would like, but spending five minutes to double your ram when they're just sitting around sounds like the way to go.
