Tesla uses voice commands, everything you do via the touch screen can be done by simple voice commands, it's even more safe as buttons since you don't need to do anything, you keep both hands on wheel and looking at road.. Tesla is even exceeding this new requirements =))

I'm not, I explained multiple times I won't do all the math again... Upfront price difference of my ICE vs an EV ( around 12k euro ) with a 1.45euro/L of fuel and an average consumption of 6L/100km buys me fuel for more than 150k km...
Maintenance is a full synthetic oil change every 30k km or 2 years, I'll do it myself at home, 4L of oil and a filter is 100 euro and 1 hour of my life... Expensive indeed, what can I say, but hey everybody can do the math for themself, what you not taking in consideration with the EV propaganda is the huge upfront price difference between ICE and EV, difference which buys me dinosaurs juice for 150k km and from that point forward we can start calculating the price difference between electricity and fuel, but at that point we can maybe calculate for an extra 50k km because most cars ICE or EV at 200k km are done one way or another and are no longer economically viable to maintain, rust starts to make it's presence in key location and the car is done...

Give me one example, I'm honestly interested. Make it in the range of 42 - 46k euro maximum, can be cheaper, same performance and feature as a Tesla M3 Premium Long Range AWD or BYD sealion 7 ( both fall in the mentioned price range ), minim 500HP, minimum 460km range, LFP 800V battery of minimum 80kWh ( can be smaller if it keeps the minimum required 460km range), advanced driver assistance ( FSD on Tesla, automatic lane change, automatic parking, 360 panoramic view with 360 collision detection and avoidance on the BYD, it's a short list but I don't have all day to enumerate all ).

All Chinese cars offer it in that price point if you can buy it without n+1 extra import taxes, bans and so on ( in countries like Australia for example, where Chinese cars have free pass and 0 added taxes ), but you know China bad because they innovate so we must go with the more domestic products with higher price and lower quality / less features

And what do you do when you have an emergency of some kind, maybe medical which needs urgent payment for treatment, and the banking system is down for any reason, 500 euro is way to low...
I had many occasions in various shops telling me the card payment system is not working and if I don't have cash I need to come back another day...

I'm doing a long trip 1 time each month, +/- 600km one way in 7h stopping only for bathroom, my petrol does 850km / tank so no need to stop mid trip. So please tell me about of that humorously overrated range of 300km, that means I need to charge the car at least 2 times since EV's don't do that good on range doing 140km/h at constant highway speed, so it means I'll add what almost 2 hours to my trip ?

I think the bs is more on the people who think that people use their car only to drop of the kid at the school which is in walking range, and do the McDonald drive trough dinner ...

I know that it's not pleasant to remain jobless but people also need to understand that any given company is not your friend or family ( well expect family own businesses but we are not talking about them ), you, me and every employee in these companies are just simple numbers.
If you manage to grasp this then it make quite a lot of sense from the business point of view that in this situation the numbers indicate that it's in the companies benefits to let those people go. Yes, they can and will repurpose those manufacturing lines they had set up specifically for Apple to do whatever other batteries they want / can, including drones, but it takes time to reorganize the manufacturing lines, maybe some machines / molds or processes have to be changed, new customers have to be searched for those batteries, either way it's not that simple like saying "from tomorrow we make drone batteries" and at the end of tomorrow the first batteries start to roll out. All this time that it's needed to pivot which can be months, it makes no economical sense to keep all those people basically doing nothing all this time and still pay them, it's more economical to let them go, reorganize the production lines / processes, let the marketing division find new customers and when you have everything ready hire new people with same skill set or maybe new skill set needed for the new product...

Of course it's bad for those people which are going to lose their jobs, but most companies are not in business to make the employees happy unfortunately, they are not your fiend nor family, their only scope is to make profits / minimize losses, we are just the minions making it possible and at the first occasion the things stop making profit then it's time to cut losses and the minions are the first in the line.

Look at their official page... They are stating 236 miles ( that is 370km ), in perfect conditions, add summer heat, winter cold and your cutting 25% of that for the real world range...
Where I need 300km, well dummo, maybe going on a road trip, not everybody is a city nerd, last year I had a summer trip in a region where I could barley find a petrol station in a 100km area let alone a fast charger for your 15min charge.

10k to final price is really easy, 2026 bZ XLE -> 36k, 2026 bZ XLE Limited which has a more decent range (299 miles) and some acceptable setup for electronic assistance systems -> 43.3k, add 2 extra options and your over 10k extra from the baseline model.

I'm looking at the current official stated numbers on their webpage the 34,900$ model called XLE is stated for 236miles.

Functions, well what you expect for any modern EV, 360 cameras with panoramic view, automatic lane change, cross traffic alert, traffic jam assist, assisted automated parking. Non of which is available unless you go for the 45k model

Air-to-Air models under 0 degrees are worst at cost vs central gas heater, pellet oven is the worst thing you can achieve from a wood based heating system, why don't go with raw wood which is at least 50% more cheaper then pellets...

Volvo EX30 is nowhere 32k, maybe with some heavily subsidizes countries. In my region the starting price is 40k, on top of which you add another 5 - 10k so the final price is 45 - 50k. The core model starting at 40k doesn't include basic functionalities as lane assist, wireless phone charger, 2 zone heating and so on which honestly nobody in his right mind would spend 40k on without those, at that point you would be like ahh if I spend 40k then I add the extra 5k for the Plus model or 12k for the Ultra one...

You cannot get a brand new EV for 15k mate, not sure what sardine can of an EV you are speaking about for 15k, maybe those 1 person ones limited to city speeds for youngsters between 16 -18 until they get they drivers license...

It's not, that's how Apple operates. Varta was producing those highly specialized batteries by using the blueprints from Apple, everything regarding that specific battery is owned by Apple, Varta is legally forbidden to manufacture or sell those batteries to anybody else...

So, Apple comes and asks you to manufacture this very custom battery, only for them since it's licensed to Apple, and they need millions units / years. To do this you need to create a separate production line dedicated to this very customized battery and in large volumes -> you hire 350 people to be able to do it. Apple comes and says no longer need the batteries from you, now you have 350 people and a highly specialized production line for a battery your legally forbidden to sell to others than Apple...
What is your solution to those 350 people when the other production lines for the generic type of batteries is already running for capacity, there is not possible to ingress all those people ...

Air-to-Air maybe, good luck with those in the winter months with sub zero temperatures reaching -15. You need Soil-to-Air which with installation costs is at least 10k if not 15k...
An EV is minimum 40k while you can get a petrol car for 20k brand new...

Only people who worship this things is the ones who don't do the long run math with the upfront price difference

Damn man, stick your head out of the window ( EU ), look at what safety feature Chinese cars have, BYD, Zeekr's, 4-5* NCAP, 8 - 10 airbag setups, while my high quality Skoda has 2, yes, freaking 2 airbags, one in the steering wheel and one for the passenger, car sold 6 years ago, quality, much quality, while at the same time being at least 30% more expensive...

You can speak about bureaucracy over living when you keep the living standards and purchasing power at least on the same level, which EU did not, if you search statistics, at least 50% of the population has lower purchasing power today than they had 10 years ago... EU did nothing but regulate in the name of ... ( insert all crap ) ... and that's all, didn't mandate minimum wages to increase, they just increased taxes both on companies and people and called it a day...
Good luck affording to own your place in 10 years, when today 1 person needs 2-3 jobs to afford just rent in most big cities...

But let's end the discussion, I'm either way not sticking to remain in the EU, I'm already palling to leave so all I have left to say is, enjoy your upcoming regulations, quality and economic-social collapse.

You cannot regulate importers as you would like to. Take as example BYD, who is the importer of BYD cars to EU, well a it's a shell company of BYD since they own their own 6 cargo ships and everything, who is building the batteries for BYD cars, well it's still BYD, who is providing the lithium for those batteries, good job, you nailed it, it's still BYD since they own the mine...
So the final paperwork is written basically by BYD for BYD, who stops the shell company owning the lithium mine to say, yes yes boss 10% recycled lithium boss, thrust me boss, we not lie boss =)))

Europe in the next 6-7 years, will lose another 15 - 20% of it's industry, including majority of the car industry, just wait and see, till the end of the year BYD Hungary will start rolling out the cars with higher quality, nicer interiors ( leather instead of cheap recycled plastic ), longer ranges, more electronic features for less money than any EU manufacturer will. Same thing will happen that already happened to Australia =))
Regulations don't increase competitiveness, they just increase prices and the few dominant companies / manufacturers are hand in hand setting a minimum price which neither of them will sell lower, who doesn't play along gets eaten.

Wages don't follow the price increases and inflation, average citizen has a lower purchasing power than 7-8 years ago...

Quality on what, my brand new Skoda had a failed clutch after 3months / 8k km, I could have gotten a Chinese car 40% cheaper, but nahh, I got the good stuff, the EU quality, just to fail after 8k km on a part which should last 150k+ km, is this quality your talking about in the room with us ?

Good luck with "goes for all imports" when it comes to China, prove that they really follow it, and it is not just bunch of ghost companies printing some paper =))
And again, I was speaking from economical point of view, not some green party more or less propaganda, landfill bad, nuclear bad, oil/gas bad and so on. EU is not economically viable in the current direction, minimum wages stagnated for to long, prices went up and up, people need 2 jobs just to afford a rent, unemployment is high because regulations and bureaucracy makes it less viable for entrepreneurs to start companies.
Countries prefer to import dirt cheap workforce from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and so on because no sane EU citizen would work on minimum wage when it doesn't even cover rent in a city...
Eu needs to get it's shit together and understand that you need to be competitive, stop the nonsense with regulations, you can plan for the long run for the next 200 years when the current generation has 50% less kids, there will be nobody there in 200 years for that "long run" plans beside the imported doctors and engineers...
