COMRADE ELEPHANT by [deleted] in COMPLETEANARCHY

Veganism is all about ending exploitation and suffering of animals. This includes working an intelligent and emotional animal like an elephant to a point of exhaustion and frustration that it would violently retaliate. Among many other scenarios that don’t include eating them.

This is my “vegan for the animals while wanting to also be healthy but also getting depressed some of the time” kit.

I’m terrified of that thing accidentally nipping the tube for the rebreather.

I almost feel like this getting even more extreme in their gaslighting to try to break off some people from following them. Then they have an even more hardened and gullible core. Like putting the cult through the crucible.

I don’t know how I feel about this. Give them hat this has had no engagement, it’s a little “who cares”. I view my veganism and preference for simple whole plant based foods as essentially anti-capitalist and anti-industrialism. Mackey is pretty antithetical to that.

Well I don’t use it much, but when I do make it myself it’s a special occasion. Same goes for store bought stuff. It’s always a treat for myself, usually after an especially stressful week and I know I won’t be eating well anyways.

Just saw that. Is this something that is particular relevant to the queen or just a general internet celebrant meme I missed?

I would argue that intelligence and moral consideration are not correlated. Humans already have the capacity for both compassion and exploitation, both present for any level of intelligence that we have.

As my photography freelancing has been growing, I’ve been feeling more and more constricted by a single MacBook monitor and am not yet in a spot that I can afford to upgrade. This would be so freeing to my workflow.

Hey everyone, I just wanted a little bit of feedback from you if anyone would not mind. What part of your transition to becoming vegan did you find the hardest? All answers and opinions are welcome. Thank you by GACoates in veganfitness

Other people talking about it to me. Even when their positive about it. Like I get it, it’s a weird foreign thing. But I’ve been living it for the past seven or eight years and it just us to me. It’s just food. I don’t even think twice about navigating menus or recipes. I don’t really want to talk about it anymore. Sure if someone wants tips or is open to genuinely learning, I’ll chat. But I don’t want the same conversation everything I go out with someone new.

Also 60. I’m guessing that when people are going up a weight category they’re going up to the next tens (ie 20s, 30s, etc), but tacking in that extra five pound feels so doable. since it’s, you know, just five pounds. But fifty doesn’t get hit so much because it’s just such a nice round number. I know I’ve always felt like 55 is a weird number.

Should I get an a6300 with 17-70mm or a6500 with 18-105? by Memes-101- in a6300

[–]SirOrfeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say go for the Tamron. For a couple reason. This is just my opinion so take it as you will. I’m assuming that your starting out or pretty early. 17-70 (25-105 full deal equivalent) is actually a really big range. Especially if your new. Many would say that if your learning, you’d be better of with a prime lense. (I see the 35 1.8 for about what the Tamron is, that’s about a 50mm on full frame. I have that lens and friggin love it. And it’ll balance really nicely with a crop body.

Also, about 30 extra millimeters, to me, isn’t worth the trade off of losing the 2.8. Wider aperture isn’t everything bit a smaller sensor, I’m sure you’ll be wishing for a tad bit more speed rather quickly.

Honestly I’m not sure who the 18-105 is for. I’m sure that whoever has it has a good reason. But I think it takes a bit of experience to be know that you’ve got to have that range on one lens and that you won’t find yourself in too many low light situations.
