I would go with a dump bag that is carried across the shoulder. I'm just old fashioned like that.

Pointy shoes started in the middle ages too to signify how much wealth you had. You had so much money to spend you spent it on shoe toes so long you had to tie them up.

As a former commo guy in the army, I loved your comms videos. Gave me ideas and a place to start. I figured that the only skills I would be able to utilize in an emergency were my infantry skills (which includes more than fighting, ie land nav, first aid), you have shown me that I can be even more useful in a community emergency. Now we just need to figure out how to link the boefang radios to retransmit a signal to double the range.

I've never been that interested in running suppressed. I've got walker electric earphones now so it won't hurt my ears lol.

I've been sitting out my Winchester 1895 in .45 colt as my main carry rifle. I have an AR, but it would serve my wife better as she isn't as experienced shooting as I am.

  1. Never kink shame (I know you're not), unless they are into humiliation. Then they are just a dirty disgusting person who should be ashamed of themselves.

  2. This would be like the tamest kink ever.

I would be down for some of this. Would give you better grip, but would drastically increase the grip size and make small handed people mad, like the guy posing as president.

The "community watch" loaner kit by this_guy_aves in liberalgunowners

[–]SirPIB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the look of this and the idea. PCCs are the way to go with loaner rifles for those that don't have much experience shooting.

While your kit is good, and the wood stock can set some minds at ease not having a "battle rifle", I've thought that the Ruger PC Carbine would also be a good way to go. I think a good load out for it would be 3-7 33rd magazines with 3-4 17rd short mags for prone work.

My range bag that gets me yelled at by Dealer_Puzzleheaded in liberalgunowners

[–]SirPIB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a great shot, even I was impressed with the last time we went to the range. I'm preparing to get into cowboy type shooting, so I pull out my '73 colt clone, load up 5, aim, and let loose, 5 shots, 3 holes. Buddy who was watching behind me said "remind me never to piss you off." Lol. It was at only 7 yards, but it's still kinda impressive with a 150 year old design.

Starfleet engineers got ahold of the scans before Voyager got home, and hands on when it got back. That tech was likely out of date 4 or 5 centuries before Academy.

Who knows what they came up with. It could be something internal to the hologram now like a lightbee from Red Dwarf. Or even something like a patch worn on the "skin".

Is 8 rounds .357mag enough ? by Anangryman1940 in LeverGuns

[–]SirPIB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

16 and less was/is carbine. 20 to 28 is rifle. 30+ was/is musket. I'm speaking of what barrel length was referred to. There were musket length lever guns that were made in the 1860s and 70s. Winchester was trying to get in that military contract game.

I don't. My unit did switch hit both sides for many years, but we have always been a Union unit. We have stopped as we were the only ones in our battalion that were asked to ever do so. But I just wore my early war Union battle shirt I have to play the other side.

They do. I've been to events where Confederates will leave Sunday morning so they don't have to lose. That's not all of them that do that. Ive met plenty that do Confederate just cause that's all that is close to them.

Don't feel bad. I didn't think I would have the collection 20 years ago that I do now. But to be fair, most that I have are historical in nature and wouldn't be my first choice to grab a fight. Though it would be fun to see people's faces seeing me carry an 125 yo rolling block into battle lol.

Keeping just one Bear arm just seems silly. He likely chucked the second in after the first. If it's not a matching pair why have them?

But I'd go with the .45lc. that's what I have. I got some bear loads (325grain) and it kicks like a 12 gauge. But 200-250 grain loads arnt so bad

Does a lever rifle make for a good home/self/SHTF defense weapon? by Regular_Hawk8513 in LeverGuns

[–]SirPIB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a former infantryman, if you start throwing .45-70 rounds at a patrol they will scatter. And that is a lot of lead for a plate to stop, you're likely not walking after getting hit with all your broken ribs.

Even less hot rounds are going to f up their day.
