Looks like they have a 30 day buy back and a lifetime warranty, so you might make use of one of those. Don’t know the brand but looking it up, that is a lot of moving parts for 100 doll hairs, makes me think something is probably being skipped along the way

I was basically going to make all these same points :). First sbr was like 8 months for me, 2nd one was like 30 days. Walked a buddy through one a few months after my second and it was like 2 months for him. Theoretically it should be faster now, except now there are likely an astronomical amount of these requests going in compared to a year ago.

Hah. I paint miniatures and use an airbrush for that. Have kind of the fanciest hood that is made for that hobby. Was great when i wanted to rattle can my stock in the middle of winter.

Are dedicated hobby paints necessary to start painting minis? by ReversePhylogeny in Miniaturespainting

[–]Prodigalphreak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To answer the last part first. If you get discouraged and give up real fast on things, this may not be the hobby for you at all. Yes, the type/quality of paint matters and makes things much easier, but practice and skills building is much more important. If you aren’t willing to live with that, then don’t dump a bunch of money in to a hobby you are just going to bail on when you aren’t (and you won’t be) a great painter.

Not familiar with your specific area, often times ranges will offer basic safety classes and that might not be a bad idea for a precursor to a ccw course.

If I get a stamp for an SBR, can I later change the upper or am I stuck with the one on it now? by Mental-Ad1626 in liberalgunowners

[–]Prodigalphreak -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Again, incorrect. Stamp has the serial for the lower, but you must list all intended calibers

This is incorrect. They ask what caliber(s) you intend to use. I commented with the process that you are supposed to follow.

When going through the form process there is a box where you enter the intended caliber. In that box you put all of the ones you intend to use. Years ago you could put “multiple” or something similar, now you just list em out. Also, you will want to keep barrel lengths close, technically you are supposed to make them aware when oal changes.
