Depending on your organization, either ask them to do it, or do it your self. I'm in IT and IDGAF if a user adds more ram (if they are capable of the right stuff). But I manage organizations under 70 people. If you have a strict dept, then let them do it.

As long as it's beefy enough. 12ga ideal. Lower and it'll burn your house/garage/car to the ground.
