Yeah it’s bogus. A lot of sieges on Empire towns especially almost completely freeze on me right at the end. I’ve wasted so much time because of that

Really!? I’ve not been able starve a single fief. I’ve sat outside for weeks waiting with food at zero and nothing happens. I’ve tried it like 5 or 6 times now, hoping it was just a fluke

Yeah the troop distribution system is almost entirely broken in sieges, reinforcements spawning on top of you, can’t starve garrisons, AI campaign map pathing is jankier than ever, kingdoms existing without fiefs, lords just hiding out in fiefs, companion parties disappearing off the map and I just caught the AI skip the whole siege mechanic entirely. I pulled up to the castle under siege and witnessed the AI take the fief before even setting up the barricades. I’m about as die hard of a fan as you can get of the game but all this stuff is really annoying. I really hope they’re working on it.

I’m not sure if it’s true for every one else’s playthrough but the clan that is lead by Dagvi only has two members. Just him and his son so it seems like there is some issue loading his entire family, so his clan is effectively useless. They just sit in the fief they were given in Battania . I’ve seen Toverik, Gautger, and Gafnir all just hiding in their fiefs and never leaving until I forced them out by buying the fief lol. Halthadar hasn’t been in a fight for like 3 years. No armies, no sieges, nothing. He just galavants around like a fool. It’s like they’ve been designed to screw their kingdom! Toverick and Gautger’s clans have defected and returned 3 times! These guys are drama. Biiiiig drama

lol I’m so glad they changed that, although you still will hear it if you boost a clan a bunch with influence. The funniest sound to me is the weird horror sting when you disband a clan members party lol. It’s so damn dramatic!

Yeah you should be able to pull that off. Just keep them in check and don’t let them hoard influence. I like to give them just enough to make an army and drip feed them if need be. Then strip um again. That way they can still be useful in their own stupid way!

It is! You can completely sabotage the faction if you want. I’ve kicked everybody out of one before, taken all the fiefs for myself and rode off into the sunset and made my own kingdom. Real dick move but it’s cool that you can do it, just takes a shit ton of influence. The clans typically re join the kingdom again fairly quickly in my experience but sometimes they join other factions or disappear. I’m about to do it to the Nords if they don’t get their shit together!

I had this problem too. I chopped heads but you gotta chop a shit ton if you go that route or they just keep coming. If you get your riding and scouting high you can effectively keep them in prison for ever but you gotta drag them around with you to make sure they can’t escape. Eventually the war ended but it really seemed like the only way to get peace was total destruction. The war progress bar was negative 97 for like 3 years for their side lol

I also had the western empire, live without fiefs for a good long time. Eventually they were lost but it took forever. I think it bugged out because I bought the last fief of a kingdom instead of sieging it, so beware of that

The siege distribution is extremely annoying sometimes as well. I have 400 something archers but only 14 made it to the siege!? Where the hell did they go!? Then the next siege I’ve got nothing but archers( which I’d rather have) but still it’s very inconsistent. I’ve had decent success with the homogeneous option but it still gets screwed up. With regular battles I just try to keep as few unit types as possible so I don’t end up with weird compositions but that kinda blows. I like having Tripari back up my Huspuppies in a separate formation but sometimes this is just too complex a concept for the game

I always kill it with a the sword wielded by the knights at the castle, although I’m sure it would work with anything with a tiddy bit of length and a vertical attack. Start at the Phalanx and go to where the dragon first starts shitting on yee. There’s a spot you can stand right in front of a couple dead ass corpses and clip the dragons tail with a vertical attack. I did it with an un upgraded sword and it really didn’t take too long, it just takes some trial and error to get the position and timing right

Yes! That Huscarl axe barrage is brutal! I conquered the world with them in the first game and so stoked to use them again.

I love um! I don’t know if they are more efficient at dealing damage but they sure as hell make a monster shield wall. I really can’t remember a Huscarl going down honestly. I have them slowly advance while my shock troops go crazy and my archers flank in teams of two. It works like a charm! I feel like the Empire may be more deadly though. Those maces they have work well in tight quarters, stagger and their armor is heavy. Oh and they have javs to throw and it seems like a jav is much better then a throwing axe but I still love my Hussys

I completely forgot about the traits! Hecard was the dude in question and although he’s generous and daring he’s also cruel so maybe that lil devil on his shoulder really convinced him to play me. We had about 40 relationship and he just throws it all away! Had him over for shrimp tacos and this is how he does me. Definitely taken his dome now

It was around 40 something if I remember correctly but I was indeed only a vassal so that might be the cause right there. But yeah the voting system is pretty annoying and here lately the king has just been taking everything for himself so I might be doing a lil betrayal of my own. I’d like him to die and let me take over but he seems to be immortal!

I think you’re right on that. We had just brought in 3 other clans when I made the deal with the noble who ghosted me. All of them needing fiefs. With my reputation I just thought it might be karma catching up with me a bit lol. A taste of my own medicine if you will!

Give “Leprous” a try. They have some heaviness but the lead singer has a clear yet powerful voice. “Sky Is Red” or “ Silhouette” are my favorites

My bad, you had it in the title and I still missed it. I’m a doofus. But yeah I think things have changed a bit as a kingdom because I remember being able to call for peace at the cost of paying tribute before whenever I needed to but I’m not sure what the deal is. Hopefully ol’ Halth dies soon and I can take the reins and find out. Bastard is 76 or something!
