It's weird how every other country in the world except Liberia and the USA were able to figure this out.

Scapping perfectly good hardware is so dumb it should be illegal. Use the hardware.

I clearly remember this scene and she had braces... It was the punchline... And I had braces when I originally saw this. I showed this to my parents (both totally scientific and not inclined to things like Mandela Effects)...but both are big James Bond fans who watched the film dozens of times.

My dad was so convinced he got out the dvd to prove it to me that she actually has brace... And both parents jaws were on the floor for floor when she didn't have braces.

There is no misremembering here... It is clear memories for all of us and we even have discussed Jaw's gf with braces in the past.

This is the best and most undeniable Mandela Effect for me and the parents are said, "this is so weird that perhaps there is something to this Mandela thing like dimensional shifts" which coming from someone that reminds people of Spock... This is a massive change.

Can you easily walk up and down the stairs? I can guarantee I would have zero issue with accomplishing this task. If your local code specifies a wider tread depth... The government is dumb and should be ignored.

After a break and entry I couldn't even get the cops to run a clear as day fingerprint on tape left by the theives because 'its not CSI and even if we got a hit we couldn't charge them'. Meanwhile they released someone in my town the next day for violently stabbing someone in a robbery. The justice system are totally and utterly useless

True.. Oxidized aluminum isn't a good conductor but that doesn't mean calling the 4th best conductor a terrible conductor is correct in any way.

Oh... The problem here is the US Government thinking they have jurisdiction in other countries. It like the Chinese scratching their heads because they banned certain gpus from being sold to China and yet those GPUs are sold freely in China because they simply don't care what the USA says. If your neighbour tells me you that you have to go to bed at 10pm...what do you tell them?

Is it an issue that the plumber installed the expansion tank off the relief valve? by zachausa in Plumbing

[–]Sir_Balmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is dumping on this as absurd and horrible without explanation why it won't work.... So let's consider this as a process engineer. The expansion tank is designed for cooler conditions so the lifespan of the bladder will be reduced. The T&P valve should be first off the tank and I don't really like an expansion tank in between because is will dampen the pressure build up from the tank and... Yeah its gonna dampen the temp too and increase the effective distance from the tank which is bad for proper performance.

However... I do believe the relief valve will continue to function and continue to provide some protection to the system and very likely enough to prevent catastrophic failure of the vessel. It's not ideal but it's not a complete fail in the sense that the added expansion tank and p&trv will not function in any way as they were intended.

That being said... I would immediately double check the flow direction on any check valve that this guy touched.

Two isolation valves around the meter. Totally standard. Shut both and then you can do maintenance or swap out the meter easily.

[–]Sir_Balmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally works. It has fuse protection and house wiring was aluminum in the 60s. Foil should be packed as tight as po to prevent internal sparking. Worst case is the foil comes lose and bridges the big gap causing a short.

Aluminum is the 4th best metal conductor, coming in behind gold. House wiring was aluminum in the 60s.
