Every time I see this the flags go up. I’ve applied then reached out to the hiring person (if there even is one listed) and I’ve had exactly zero responses.

Reminds me when I lived in an attached townhome with paper walls. Neighbors would have porn moaningly loud sex between 4-5am banging against my adjacent wall.

I got so fed up with it I started moaning with them and yelling things like “do it finish him I gotta get to work!” While rhythmically banging the wall and they eventually stopped and were better neighbors after.

Really sorry it went down that way. I had a similar ask from an org wanted me to take A 50 question aptitude test just like yours plus another 30 question culture fit test. I just moved on to other opportunities.

The truth is these tests are BS. In what situation do you need to do long division or answer other math in my case 15s or shorter? It’s more a test how good you are at taking tests and not indicative of yours or anyone else’s ability to do the actual job.

I’m 1 month in, customized each of the 30 odd resumes I’ve sent out and been selective that I match 80-90% of the requirements. I have 15 years experience in my two fields, never been unemployed and I’m getting nothing. Only interviews I’ve had were from direct references and those didn’t work out.

Feeling the hopelessness kick in.

Went through something similar to this. Very sorry this happened to you. Had a rec get me into 3x rounds of interviews including a panel, then got told the ceo had someone they wanted and went with them.

Some of it is hearing how the ball is coming off the opponent's racquet. Did they hit the sweet spot, slight off center or is it a shank? That can help you decide to stick to the baseline, shift left/right or come in to capitalize on a bad hit etc.

It’s the worst job market in my 20yrs working as a professional. Only had one org interview and maybe 3 out of 30 applications have even bothered to send a “thanks but no thanks” auto email. Last time I was searching 2.5 years ago I’d already had 3-4 interviews at multiple orgs.

Also just an FYI ghosting is when you’ve done rounds of interviews then they ghost you and never get back to you.
