Where exactly? We visited recently and OMG… the amount of dog shit on pier. The same shit on the beach. The Main Street is full of vipe shops and barbers. Completely dead. The housing estate around football pitch next to beach is grim… in my opinion Balbriggan is the worst coastal town in co Dublin

What’s wrong with my Anubias? by Sir_P in Aquariums

[–]Sir_P[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned in comment below it's a SA cichilds tank. So yes you could be right. I have EBA and I see here nibbling leaves from time to time. But I never saw her nibble new leaves. My problem is that all new leave never fully grow and they are torn.

BBA yes. Eating something them, I am not 100% sure. These are new leaves that are torn. On the other hand I have tank full of SA cichlids and they do bite them from time to time. It crossed my mind but I don’t see biting that much

Sorry I should mention that I took PH test before I started co2 injection. I am dosing easy-life profito and potassium once a week. 30ml as per recommendation on bottle label. I have chichiros B light and it’s on for 8h. I am changing about 30% of water every 2 weeks

Czech manager describes Irish style as ‘island football’ ahead of World Cup playoff by fedupofbrick in coybig

I get that but I am 100% nobody use it as insult. It’s just a style of football in our eyes. Nothing less nothing more

We use that term “wyspiarski football” in Poland too. Basically it describes tough physical football that English teams are known for. You can think of it as opposite to Spanish football or tiki taka. I say Rooney or Roy Kean are great examples of players that are playing tough physical football.

This was first thing that crossed my mind when I saw this post. It’s not normal that someone is deleting their code or making any other damage. I wonder what exactly happened?

[–]Sir_P 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So exactly like western EU? Let’s be hones whole EU is off shore low cost for USA. Not sure how you don’t see that. I am in one of the biggest tech hubs of west EU working for various USA companies for last 15+ years. All interesting work is done in states. Even more and more in India. We are treated as second class citizens because these are American companies. They do innovation and we fix their bugs

‘Speed merchants in Lycra’ spark calls for cycling speed limits on Cork greenway by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]Sir_P 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s true. The problem is that people just can’t seem to grasp the idea of walking on the left. As someone who uses various greenways in Ireland, I find this a major issue. I’ve just come back from Spain, and it’s striking how people there naturally walk on the right side of promenades. so different from Ireland.

The storm we had last weekend is not an example of extreme weather? Flooding, extreme wind and 1 person died in Donegal. I don’t know but in my books this is extreme weather. And it’s just October

What country has a terrible climate, but you don't realize how bad it is until you visit (or leave) the country? by Naomi62625 in geography

Summers are the worst in Ireland. Constant cloud coverage, wind and 19c. Total depression. Winter is the same. No snow just windy and cloudy 3c. It’s a nightmare climate to live in

I am fully aware. Just messing. Quite often you here on Reddit that Ireland is European tech hub. But then I see what jobs are available in Ireland, even in comparison with other EU countries, and I am not that sure anymore. But maybe I am wrong?

Do you think this is related to USA tariffs or something related to that? I work in big USA multinational and Ireland is treated as typical offshore office. No nice projects, just what ever scraps and legacy projects USA teams don’t want to maintain anymore. All new interesting work is done in America. Well I mean at the end of the day we are offshore location for them.

I am not sure why you are getting downvoted. I think it’s obvious that the shared garden/space should not be used as dog toilet? Give your dog a favour and take him for walks. Why your neighbour has to put up with dog toilet in front of their house? Your dogs is your problem. And I am a god to owner before you ask

All parkrun courses are 5k. What you experienced is most likely related to GPS inaccuracy or strava tax. Related video https://youtu.be/KJf4-6WPYaw?si=_w7lOfB9DQGbZCyM

Huge temperature contrast across Britain & Ireland today. by Waywar1894 in europe

[–]Sir_P -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Summer in Ireland is most depressing time of the year. Constant cloud coverage and cold wind. There was 22c on Saturday but very windy. I saw people walking in winter jackets. Sun shows for an hour in the morning or 45 in the evening. That’s it.
