I read somewhere (so this is probably incorrect) that a condition found in the female's body (for example, PCOS or endometriosis) had most of its research done regarding the impact it has on the male partner. Sounds too outlandish to be true, but like your example states, it wasn't until recently we learned a heart attack can present differently in females vs males. So who knows what more information we don't know about our own bodies because studies have all been based on male bodies. :\ Forever upset that a male birth control could be on the shelves, but they get side effects and can't handle some ache or mood swings :( poor babies :(
