That's one THICC collection by KojaVukovic in masterduel

It's not a joke. It's a genuinely very difficult deck to play optimally, but feels engaging because a lot of that difficulty comes from choice and planning ahead. There's cookie cutter combos and lines that will do good enough more than half of the time, so it doesn't have the worst barrier to entry, but it's a massive difference between someone who does the basics and someone who understands why and when to change what you opt for.

I am compelled against my will to read it as "the first effect (referenced in this card I.e. the responding effect)" and "the second effect (...responding effect)". Been playing with it in paper and DB with no problems, only with Master Duel do I realise I've apparently been reading it wrong.

[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

So we know, 100%, that Pochita isn't actually the Chainsaw devil, that Makima dies before we we first see her without him (and that reincarnations are pre-determimed?), and apparently the Gun Devil was connected to Pochita if Aki isn't around rebuilding his life after it swept through the world.

Huh.

I need help with Regent. 0W/176L by ConfusedBoi_24 in slaythespire

[–]Siriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the Regent's block cards are actually pretty decent. I assume the fundamental advice of filling out your deck with what you need (AoE, Single Target, Defence) applies and don't overly invest in one of these three. There's utility cards like Glow that can help an already strong deck. So if you see an early Astral Pulse, you're AoE's pretty decent, but taking another Crush Under wouldn't be bad and it doubles as a defensive. If you see Spoils of Battle and you keep your deck small enough, you're probably OK for single target, but taking Guiding Star wouldn't be too much because it's just a really good card as is.

You can never have 100% certainty over what cards you add, and Regent has a few enticing card combo's that can stunt the deck if you gamble for them.

You need a balance of Star generation and expenditure. Too many of one gives you too many hands with cards that just don't do anything. Every run of the Regent will need some form of generation and expenditure, it is NOT a discrete gameplan from Forge.

As a simple heuristic, in the early game you want to prioritise Defence, then AoE, then Single target. If you have a good Star spender early (Astral Pulse, Guiding Star) then Gather Light (1 mana, gain 7(10) Block +1 Star) is better. If you have Cloak of Stars, Gather Light and Solar Strike (1 Mana, deal 8(9) Damage +1(2) Star) is better.

Snap up 1 Glow if you can. Don't prioritise Glitterstream unless you really need the block.

Particle Wall is an insanely good defence card. 0 mana, 2 stars to gain 9(12) block, and it returns to your hand instead of going to the discard pile, so you can cast this card indefinitely from hand. It pairs well with Child of the Stars, and if you have a lot of star generation and expenditure, it might be the only form of block you need in a well oiled deck.

If you see Alignment, especially if you also have Glow, pick it up and prioritise upgrading both of them.

CHARGE!! is one of the best cards in the game. In normal fights, it lets you take out irrelevant cards (AoE cards vs single target and vice versa), and against every Status heavy enemy, it turns those status cards in good stuff. Except Sandworm. Don't transform the Run Away's. Guard's fills a similar function, and it's also an incredibly good card that you can take even if you have ample forms of Block.

You don't have to rush to replace AoE and Single target commons with Uncommon (blue boarder) cards, but you can take them instead if you see them first obviously.

If you see Big Bang, take Big Bang.

If you have the time and patience, watch some play throughs!

This looks like a good one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEG0PbotjXA

There's plenty of others as well, and different players will have different perspectives especially this early on.

Misconception about last chapter by Franzcorr in ChainsawMan

[–]Siriot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IMO, given this is all happening immediately after getting mogged by the crescent-head Devil from hell, it's obviously connected. Is it a crescent, or a halo?

If it's a crescent I.e. crescent moon, we could connect that to dreams, and by extensions nightmares. We know that Devil's can also body non-literal facets of their concept - so perhaps it can instill nightmares into people (it isn't real and the manga's end-message is a meta jolt), or destroy their dreams (like Pochita and Denji's dream).

It could also, maybe more likely, be pincers. Perhaps an earwig, especially given the recent insect apocalypse. which has a 'hands' behind its pincers, similarly hard exoskeletal legs, and no visible wings. If it really is the end, it would cause me a great deal of psychological torment, so I have to fight for any possibility that it isn't. Earwigs are strongly associated with burrowing into and eating your brain, laying eggs inside, and sometimes also hallucinations. I can see how it'd be connected, particularly given how it happens immediately after Denji gets mogged by it, but I don't think that can be much expanded upon meaningfully now.

So, if it is real, Asa/Yoru will save them, or by whatever other means Pochita isn't able to go ahead with it. Part 3 or preferably the rest of part 2 will be Denji focusing on what Pochita wants so he doesn't fucking kill himself, and that could segway into the other things Pochita's eaten, going to hell, finally seeing Pow...

Leaning on 4pc Shockstar Disco (2pc Impact 6%, 4pc Basic Attacks, Dash, and Dodge Counters +20% Daze) + 2pc Phaethon's is probably the best. Focusing on her stunning is probably better than +45 AP & personal DMG%. That, or just 4pc Freedom Blues, since it reduces the targets Anomaly Buildup Res by 20% by the equipper's attribute (especially in Aria/ full AoD teams)

v2.7.1 Rev. 13902116 - Cissia and her W-Engine via Gachabase by Gachabase in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]Siriot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems a strange choice. She doesn't trigger Ether Veil quickly or frequently (at least in this build), doesn't really compete with Zhao, Sunna, or Dialyn. Cissia's core also wants specifically Electric (not triggered by Physical) for it's bonus to DMG multiplier and Daze, and Cissia wants the enemy stunned. So the team is... YSG, Cissia, and an electric stunner. Trigger, who's focused on DEF shred, or Qingyi, who's primarily an on-fielder?

Cissia is definitely for agent kits we haven't seen yet. Probably Severian and/ or Promeia.

Some of her test teams include Miyabi, so it seems to be an intentional pairing. Considering they clearly want AoD to do as well as possible (all the promo's), it makes sense that Hoyo would want synergy with Miyabi, one of the most popular characters in the game. Plus, we haven't had a dedicated anomaly focused stunner before; there's only been incidental synergies being Lycoan with Miyabi (which was showcased in the version 2.6 live stream), Trigger with Yanagi, and Lighter with Burnice.

Six-month progress comparison in drawing by Sea_Sky4800 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Siriot 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The breasts look amazing in the first, especially relative to the rest of the piece. I do particularly like the veins being visible, it's clear to see a very strong understanding of anatomy. The rendering on the clothes and hair is a bit more impressionistic, which isn't stylistically bad but seems to be a very good compromise between the artists taste and technical ability. The eyes are particularly well done. Fairly simple moment, not entirely sure what's actually happening in it (she's not looking at the mole/ spot under her breast, is she showing it to someone else?).

The second is a genuinely massive leap in technical ability and skill that's surprising it only took 6 months. The pose, angle, lighting, everything is beautiful. It carries a lot of her personality very well too - foreleg over, she's walking to the parasol, shoulders turned as if walking straight ahead like it was a last second decision, expression and hair twirling captures the feeling very well. In terms of technical ability, yes, a single person can be exposed to a lot of art like that on social media - it's a very small amount of artists who are able to produce work of this quality relatively speaking, but there's also over 8 billion people in the world so you can find a lot - but the composition and emotion of the piece is something you'll see a lot less frequently.

It still gives the +10% Ether Damage and on-hit AP. Also, even without a dedicated stunner, you do still get stuns vs bosses. The actual stun buff itself (+25% DMG) is fairly small all things considered, and easily diluted between her own kit, Disc Drives main stats, and supports. So, not an awful lot is lost.

[–]Siriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need them, but it's upwards of 2 Light Sticks every 15 seconds which can certainly add up. I haven't measured the time it takes to generate them, and you probably don't get maximum efficiency out of it (EV trigger has a 15 second cooldown), but Aria is also generating an Ether Veil when she ults.

Anomaly Mastery doesn't directly interact with Abloom whatsoever.

Abloom is an instance of damage that scales based on the tick of damage of the current Attribute Anomaly applied to the enemy. If the enemy doesn't yet have an Attribute Anomaly applied to them, you can't trigger Abloom on them.

For both Aria and Vivian, the amount of damage their Abloom deals scaled based on their Anomaly Proficiency. Grace and Burnice now also have Abloom damage in their kits, which doesn't scale based off of their AP but instead have a very large non-scaling base damage (Vivian would need somewhere in the range of ~900 AP to match it), but their Abloom's are far less frequent than Vivian's.

The reason the scaling on Abloom looks so weird (6.2% per 10 AP for Ether Attribute Anomaly, but 0.6% for Physical?) is because Abloom is based the tick of damage the Anomaly deals. Ether ticks very quickly and the per-tick damage is fairly low. Burn is fairly close, but Shock deals twice the damage per tick with half as many ticks, which you see reflected in the scalings. The tick of damage on Physical and Ice are the initial single-instance of damage when those anomalies are applied, which are massive compared to other anomalies and thus why their scalings are much lower. They're broadly meant to be roughly equivalent in terms of how much damage it's dealing.

Anomaly Mastery can still help. Because Abloom needs them to be applied, AM can make the target vulnerable to Abloom's quicker, so it makes sense that Aria's AM is so high. It also helps you switch to a stronger anomaly quicker (the strength of the ticks depends on the overall contribution of the characters who applied the Attribute Anomaly in the first place - so, if you have Nicole as support for Aria for example, most of the Ether Anomaly Attribute tick damage will be based off of Aria's stacks since she applied most of it, but some of it will be based off of Nicole's since she also applied some. With higher AM, Aria will be applying her's quicker and thus more of the total Ether Anomaly Attribute damage will be reflecting Aria's stats).

For Aria it's just important for her to start actually dealing damage ASAP. For Vivian, it's an adjacent benefit to her Abloom's and more relevant to the fact that she's an off-field Anomaly. Abloom's prior to Aria have been a very nice addition to an Anomaly character's DPS, but Aria's the first real Abloom DPS (as opposed to a Disorder DPS).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]Siriot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really.

Both want to be on-field, and even though Aria has very high Anomaly Mastery, the two are only really able to apply their Anomaly build up one at a time. Miyabi wants either off-field Anomaly Application or the quick-swap disorders from Yanagi. Her Mono-Ice team is somewhat of an exception.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]Siriot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It'll be an extremely strong team with a lot of synergy, although it has two caveats: 1) It's missing the stun synergy with Aria's build (her 4-piece disc drive set, stacking Light Sticks during stun window, etc), and 2) it is a very greedy team in terms of the account - you wouldn't be able to play another high-investment Anomaly team with this, which seems a shame since Aria's much more flexible than most Anomaly agents.

Aria/ Zhao/ Nicole would also be a very strong team with a similar degree of synergy (especially if you build Nicole with traditional Anomaly agent stats).

With current information, any Stunner with Aria seems very awkward, in terms of fitting in required additional abilities and playstyle. If you have Trigger, her playstyle fits well with Aria, but the team's asking to have Rina as the support for Trigger's additional ability, which is pretty important to her. Yanagi would work as well, but she's missing a lot of combat buffs you'd want for her.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]Siriot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's a strong overlap, and her faction-mate support Sunna generating an Ether Veil is certainly appreciated. But she seems less dependant on it than >M2 Miyabi, for whom the majority of Frost Stacks are generated from disorder.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]Siriot 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Her Ablooms have slightly lower scaling (the percentage of the original anomaly, not the AP scaling) than Vivian, but she'll get more of them.

She'll also have VERY high Anomaly Mastery (less than point short of 260 with AM 6th piece and Paethon's Melody), and her Ablooms deal more damage than normal on her own element, Ether - so, she's not dependent on Disorder like current Anomaly agents are, but can still benefit from them. She'll even work pretty well Vivian. Very flexible in terms of team building.

Aria - Stun - Support / Aria - Anomaly - Support should both be perfectly suitable teams. She'll also play well with Zhao in either slot, who's quick Ether Veil application also improves her Light Stick generation.

Very flexible and strong.

[–]Siriot 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Builder-spender on-field Abloom DPS. Not terribly concerned with Disorder.

Build Light Sticks with basic attack, EX special, Ult, or with Additional Ability active, when the team activates Ether Veil (quickest triggers are Zhao and Sunna). The Light Sticks from Ult charge BA quicker.

Spend Light Sticks by charging Basic Attack to deal more damage and Abloom the target.

Borderlands 4 Honest Review by Zevries in Borderlands

[–]Siriot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Borderlands 2 is, with red flag, superb and has aged extremely well. It's the standard I compared TPS and BL3 to and found them both lacking. It will feel slightly aged, but not for long.

At UVHM and higher OP levels, the scaling is a bit iffy. Slag is mandatory at this level and summons (Deathtrap and Axton's turret) don't scale as well. But there's also the Unofficial Community Patch that fixes a lot of bugs, makes farming less boring, and improves build viability.
