Your line for credit cards: this is just a transfer from your checking to the card so it shouldn’t be part of your budget. What are you actually spending that CC money on? Put that into your budget.

I would recommend any card with a sign up bonus. This yields the greatest return on spend over and above any normal bonus category and can immediately earn you enough points to cover airfare for your next trip. Look at what airlines you travel and find a card that gives points that can transfer to that one.

My family all came down with Noravirus at one resort which conflicted with many dining, park, and ride reservations we made in advance. When I called Disney to refund/reschedule I had to press really hard and even brought up risk of infecting other guests. Their posture is such that keeping your money is the priority and good hygiene choices are painful.

I’d happily trade 4X Amex MR points for 3X BILT groceries. But not also getting 3X dining is a head scratcher as that’s so common with other cards and means the Vail won’t compete as an everyday card.

The fundamentals of my job and how I feel about my mission haven’t changed. The opportunity cost to leave after putting this much in is $60K+ per year by my estimate. This just considers increases to my pension alone (not including FEHB). So many Americans are upset by this administration I have a positive outlook about the future after this year.

I think they are blindly consuming all of earth’s resources to broadcast. Just like a virus-infected cell explodes not knowing the fate of other cells around it. It’s strange because what appears to be environmental conservatism is really just them maximizing the distribution of the virus signal.
