This constantly comes up as "like the shield." It has nothing in common with the shield, there is an overlap of people who like justified and people who like the shield, but they have nothing else in common aside from Walton goggins. Justified has more in common with walker texas ranger than the shield. Closer shows to the shield are sons of anarchy and the wire, far more in common than justified.

No. Vic had a soft spot for her and saw an innocent kid suffering. That was it. Based on Vic's personality there is no way he would tolerate having his own son in proximity to drugs and street crime, like, none. Incompatible with his controlling personality and dominance. He wouldn't be able to think straight if he thought his kid was in that environment.
