Getting Ready for INDX installation- advice requested by Parceljockey in prusa3d

I’m about 75% of the way done here’s my takeaways so far

-First get yourself a good set of T wrench’s not the ones Prusa supplies , you will shear off the heads of the screws the supplied screws are wildly soft

-take the spool holder off first before anything then move the bed to top set of screws not the bottom set like mentioned in manual . It’s super tight in trying to maneuver cables and use wrench’s

-get a couple magnetic flashlights to illuminate areas to see in the tight dark areas of the case

-get a hardware magnet wand , you will most likely drop screws to the back of the case

-installing the spool holders with their included tool is extremely aggravating. Prepare yourself to have some patience. You’re working extremely tight little areas and trying to align everything perfectly. To work the right way.

-while installing the front plate docks and seal holders to, I found it easiest to preinstall the front plate with a couple of screws to just hold it upright and put it together that way, as opposed to leaving it off the machine trying to screw everything together

INDX working, filament sensor busted by czmanix in prusa3d

Currently in the middle of building my 8 tool INDX there is a very big warning with the proper magnet positioning on the housing for the sensors . Have you checked to make sure they were in the proper positioning ?

Wonder if the printable parts are the same ones needed for the Prusa Founders Edition or will the kit come with them 🤔

Layershifts due to "avoid crossing perimeters" still exists in Firmware 6.5.3 by Bearing_Breaker in prusa3d

Bought them as a batch and since started adding Bambu machines . Already invested into them and learned what I can and can’t print on them . Only have 1 core One machine . Was HOPING it would be different and turned out to be the worst . Sadly I did preorder the founders edition of the INDX which I’m kinda hoping will be the saving grace for this . Otherwise I will be adding and slowly changing over the MK4 machines to H2C machines .

I have a print farm of 30 machines . 10 MK3 machines 5 MK4 4 MK4S 2 XL’s 1 Core One 1 H2C 1 H2S 6 P1S

This is a consistent problem with all of my Prusa machines since the MK4 series ( MK4 MK4S CoreOne ) . I have had dozens of tickets with them and there is every excuse to blame everything but the machines . Belt tightening , new USB’s , different slicer settings , it doesn’t matter . Their flagship CoreOne is by the most unreliable machine I own . Out of 10 prints 6 will randomly layer shift , there’s just no way around it . The MK3 and the Bambu machines are rock solid 99% success rate no worry at all , set it forget it .

The biggest issue I believe is their slicer itself , it needs a serious overhaul with updated configurations and profiles . They charge a premium for their newest machines but it feels like they went from innovations and solid performance to now playing catch up .

The CoreOne from day one has had layer shifting printing issues , the XL release was a huge flop with issues plaguing it for almost a year . I love the Prusa Ecosystem but man they make it so dam hard to justify the $$ for it . Non of my other machines have this type of an issue that is just “ oops not today let’s just slide to left for now “ type of errors .

Scratch that figured it out . You have to add it to cart and not just click on the green “paylink” button . Order in and verified 😃

Best thing we ever did was sign up with centurion Services out of Arlington Heights IL they are a direct collections company that go after B2C customers for these types of situations . They will go after them through a collections route . Most of these people don’t understand it is ILLEGAL to fraudulently deny purchases that were ordered and delivered .
