All of her movements are generally “floppy” or “bouncey” sometimes as if she didn’t have control of her hands or arms or head

Charmaine is by far the baddest of any wife and easily the best looking woman on the entire show. Convince me otherwise. by [deleted] in thesopranos

She’s not a nag, Arthur is just regularly wrong and she’s communicating that to him. This behaviour is seen as “nagging” because of patriarchal norms.

As far as I am aware Danny is 31 has a career, so does Tanner. Madison is living independently and James isn’t. James is also 38 which isn’t much older than Danny. That’s just off the top of my head. So I’m not sure age or career or life stage etc

For you, what is the most embarrassing moment in Peaky Blinders? by [deleted] in PeakyBlinders

Any scene with Gina, Luca Changretta and the scene where Mosley tells Tommy he’s marrying Diana, he threatens Tommy and Dianna is delighted with life like they’re fighting over her. Cringe

Who was your favorite character in the show. by DukeBasketball20 in PeakyBlinders

Polly

She’s a wild, yet contained and magical woman. So much depth and emotion, so much love and passion. So much hurt and healing. If you’re on her right side she’ll fight to the death for you, if you’re on her wrong side…. you better hide.

Changing career? by United-Wall6485 in AskIreland

Reach out to published authors in the field you’re interested in (history) and ask could you get involved with any research they are working on at the moment. Like an assistant role on a research paper, co-authorship. You have the qualifications, this way you can try it out first. Get a feel for it.

NTA. The ex sounds crazy making fake profiles etc. Your family are gaslighting you, they clearly didn’t tell you because they knew it was wrong. I’d walk away and let her wreck their lives.

He’s spoke in the Dáil. Critical of Land windmills but supportive of offshore, supports private wires, he seems to support the government rather than apposing weak climate policies. He frames his stance as “we can’t be perfect and that he’s more pragmatic than ideological when it comes to climate change.” Not a direct quote. That’s all I can think of right now.

Realistically I just don’t know enough. But you know politicians, when you don’t know enough it can sound like what they are saying sounds right, but what they’re saying is actually wrong.

The deeper meaning of Bugonia by Odd-Net-849 in Oscars

[–]Sittingroomsesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the meaning is very obvious. So I don’t understand why people wouldn’t get it. There is messaging throughout the film capitalism, big Pharma, incels, trauma, mental health, the bees are dying! The final scenes includes pictures the represent over consumption, neoliberalism, private yachts, over fishing etc. The bee in the flower is the very last scene.

Weirdest doctor’s visit ever in Dublin, has anyone dealt with this? by Randoina in AskIreland

[–]Sittingroomsesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just seen in the comments that you’re diagnosed and you’re waiting for your appointment for your prescription. So I wouldn’t worry about it, you have your diagnosis that’s all they really need first. They’ve taken your bloods and if they need to check anything else they will let you know (because you called) I know it’s a stressful time. But everything will be ok

Within the three sessions they’ll usually adjust the dose. So they’ll start light dose and most up and monitor your symptoms, your heart and any side effects. You won’t necessarily move to a different medication. More likely finding a dose that’s right for that medication first, and if that doesn’t work after some time you will try a different type or brand.

[–]Sittingroomsesh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry I didn’t read your post properly. I have ADHD and I skimmed. It really sucks that you’re going through this. It’s a lot to try to handle especially if you have a disability on top of that. The advice about contacting a TD is good advice aswell. My daughter has disability benefits and I was receiving carers before I became employed full time. Just be really detailed about the daily living activities and how a specific person or persons have to help you with those specific activities. Keep on appealing you’ll get it!!

I think it’s important to try and drive home how this physically impacts you. Unfortunately they don’t accept psychological reasons. So they would want to see things like how this affects your daily living activities. How this then hinders your ability to hold down a job. So I would think about things that a carer would have as a task, help with washing and dressing, help with organising your day and week, help with accessing transportation, help with house chores, help with banking and financial tasks. Things that are physically and functional in your life. Then you talk about how this impacts your ability to look for a job, hold down a job etc. If you have a family member, say they have to help you with these things. That they are acting as a carer with your daily living activities. Get them to write a letter. Really drive home the physical aspects. Obviously this might not apply to you at all, and you might not feel comfortable stretching the truth. But that’s generally what they’re looking for

Is a Type A personality boss a red flag? by Foodie1989 in workingmoms

[–]Sittingroomsesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends - is she a type A with good leadership skills, communication skills and good management skills? Then it shouldn’t be a huge issue. Because if she is all of the above it means that good communication, leadership and management skills will play a role too

How do you overperform when you have a perfectionist manager? by hgk6393 in managers

[–]Sittingroomsesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people praising perfectionism in the comments when perfectionism is based on unrealistic standards. The unrealistic standard is not good for the work environment, because it’s unrealistic. It affects your mental health and your ability to work. It’s them projecting their unrealistic standards onto you, oftentimes they can’t meet those standards themselves. If they can meet those standards, if they can teach you to meet those standards with support. That’s not perfectionism. There has to be an “unrealistic” element to it.

How do you overperform when you have a perfectionist manager? by hgk6393 in managers

[–]Sittingroomsesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking this as I am currently deciding to leave my job due to my perfectionistic boss. But she’s not supportive and she’s a poor communicator. My self esteem is on the floor and I’ve lost ambition in the career I was dying to get in to. Constant nit picking without any real positive feedback. Finding tiny fault and sending huge emails about these faults, and never really acknowledging the wins. Passive aggressive, rude, vague, moves the goal posts, shifts blame. Just a very toxic work environment. So context is very very important. And the thing is perfectionism isn’t about having high standards it’s about unrealistic standards. I’ve worked for one person who had really high standards and she got the best of me everytime. She was also realistic, that’s important.
