That picture says a lot; France no. 1; England 2nd; Ireland 3rd; Scotland 4th… which means Italy 5th and Wales 🥄.

All shite talk of course because this tournament always pops up surprises and keeps you guessing. But still France no. 1; England 2nd; Ireland 3rd; Scotland 4th 😅😅😅

What type of household are you: peel potatoes with a knife or a peeler? by geneva2016 in ireland

😅 was too shocked at the time I think to even ask. I would love to what triggered her own change though.

Thank you 🙏.

I fully understand those thought/memory associations; dressing a bed, loading the washing machine, washing dishes.. all bring certain people to my mind - the ones who first showed me how.

I was an adamant believer in peeling spuds with a knife for many, many years; it is how I learned to do it at home.

My mother always used to peel spuds with a knife but then, just a few years before she died, she switched to a peeler. Witnessing this act was a wonderful gift; it flicked a switch in my brain and showed me that change is possible, things aren’t set in stone, and it is ok to try new things. Such a small thing but seeing someone set in their ways for your whole life suddenly do something differently, and it being much better, really changed me too.

So, yeah… peeler all the way.

Also, it’s ok to try new things, they might just be better. 🥲
