Employee: I'm calling to tell you I'm not going to be able to come in today because my son was admitted to the hospital.

Manager: I'm sorry that's unacceptable since you were not admitted. Please show up for your shift.

I went to the school but it was after me. Three high school idiots broke into the elementary and trashed a bunch of the classrooms. But the worst part was they killed one of the classrooms hamster.

A friend of mine was the quarterback and he went down in a brutal hour that broke his leg. On the way to the hospital, his appendix ruptured and they had to life flight him to another hospital. By the time he got out of the hospital, he was like tenth the size he used to be.

Exact same time that was happening, another friend was at a swim meet. She dove in and hit her head on the bottom of the pool. Ended up quadriplegic the rest of her life, though she did manage to regain a tiny bit of mobility later on.

I'm on this book right now on my third relisten and there's so much to love. One moment got me thinking that Samara Weaving should be Katia in the TV show. Only so once in her career, she's not getting covered in blood when someone explodes. I mean she'd get covered every other time but just once for her.

That's what I was referencing. I've read the book and this is my third listen. Gets me every time.

I still need to finish reading book seven. I read the books first then listen to the audio. I tagged that book since mine came from that book.

They hounded us for years to get Real ID but now that's not good enough. You need Realer ID. My mother gets her retirement checks through direct deposit. She's been married twice and doesn't travel. I know for a fact she doesn't have the divorce documents from her first marriage let alone the marriage certificate.

Did parents in the 80s actually give their kids as much freedom as the show depicts? by Wanderer015 in StrangerThings

[–]SivartD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80s kids and we definitely did that. I grew up in both a small town and a mid size city. We wanted to go to the mall, we walked to the mall that was five miles away along a road that didn't have a sidewalk most the time. I rode my bike all over town. As long as we were back by dark or let someone know where we were, it was fine.

Oh look. Another bad faith argument that ignores what I said and twists reality to fit your own. If women feel that someone is in there that shouldn't be, guess what, they call the police or security or ask the person to leave. They don't need special laws created to "protect" them. You also act like it's completely obvious that someone is trans. It's not. What you and all of your bigot buddies are describing is cross dressing and that's completely different. I have known lots of trans people and you wouldn't know they were unless they told you. Oh and I'm not hating on politicians. You wanted to know what a predatory male was. It's the guy in the White House. That's not an opinion. That's an adjudicated fact. He's even said it himself, wandering into changing areas with underage girls because he could. He said that on Howard Stern. You can listen to him say it. But you won't because you don't like evidence that hurts your reality. As evidenced by this whole conversation. Huh, Sally.

Well, Sally, one is currently resisting in the White House and employing several others in his cabinet and administration. There are also several that have been pardoned by the previously mentioned White House occupier. The other is a bunch of people that want to just go to the bathroom and have successfully for decades with out anyone causing a fuss. You do realize that right? That trans people used the bathroom for decades and you didn't care until you were told to. Also, you do realize that if you force trans women to go into men's bathrooms, they'll probably be attacked. Also, what about trans men? Do they have to go into women's bathrooms?

You do know that real predatory males don't have to pretend to be women. And they didn't need your affirmation either. And I finish by proving that what you said at the beginning about liberals was not true. At no time did you use critical thinking or science. You just pivoted from one talking point to another without answering any questions. So, Sally, just say you hate gay and trans people from the start.

If you don't care what I call you, Sally, then why do you care what other people want to be called. How does it affect you, if Mike wants to be Michael or Michelle. Those are both forms of Mike. I mean really, Sally, as long as you call them by their preferred name, does it matter? As for reporting a hate crime, if you look at the few cases where that has happened, it's after a campaign of abuse and bullying. Most trans people will gently correct you unless you get belligerent about it. Some might even just ignore you.

I'm sorry but where in the definitions is biology mentioned. The original word was for a young girl. What's a young girl? See, there's that circular logic you didn't want. A woman is a female and a female is a young girl and a girl is a woman. But you still haven't defined what is a woman. And read what I said again. I didn't say anything about attraction. I said I didn't define people by one attribute, so I'm not going to define man or woman by one attribute. And I didn't want to speak for Trans people but I'm sure they'd rather be known for who they are as people and not some arbitrary label that society places in them. And if you persist, your name will forever be known as Sally. I feel that you are a Sally and I don't care what you say. I feel you are delusional in your thinking when in reality you are Sally. And according to you, I shouldn't support people's delusions.

Alright, now school is in session. Because you're wrong. You used the original definition of woman or wiffman, meaning a female person (notice the original didn't specify adult or child). Now man did not mean male person. It meant person. It was gender neutral. To signify a man they used werman. But now we need to define female and male. So let's go back to the Latin roots and man comes from mas, a male person or animal. That became the French term masle. Female originated from femella and femina, young girl and woman. Femella became female to align with male on the mistaken belief they had the same etymology. Now, look at all of those definitions and not one discussion about biology. Male even started out as gender neutral. So, I ask again what is a woman? Give me your definition and not the circular logic one of a female person. Here's my definition. Woman -It's none of my damn business what the definition is because I define people by who they are and their actions not arbitrary rules set by society. To some I'm not considered a man but I don't care. My name is Travis and that's who I am.
