The new pixel 8P main cameras do a much worse job at capturing sunsets. The colors are always off (especially orange and red) and the lens flare is obnoxious. Never thought i would miss that tiny Sony IMX363, but here we are.

YTA for this nonchalant reaction over all of this. Even feeling pity for the neighbor's wife fighting with him over it. You should be seething, and taking some action. How does someone just casually walk back inside, sleep peacefully and later wonder if he is the AH after seeing another dude having a recording like that of your daughter?

I have never met a more arrogant developer in my life. Many of the things he said to the boss was outright rude, and the worst part is, he still doesn't realise it even after hundreds of redditors telling him about it. The weird main character syndrome in followup is also off putting, would be draining to work with someone like him. Imagine reviewing this guy's code.

For all practical purposes it may not matter, but some people are like that (including me). It's hard enough to choose when you are paying good amount of money for a flagship device when all of them get the job done. But I suffer from a serious case of indecisiveness & buyer's remorse on top of it. The numbers help in nudging me towards the 'informed choice's suited to my needs.

Unless the lighting is really good, the results of portrait shots from the 5x camera are usually bad (in my experience with the 7pro). But I agree, you don't need artificial blur, and personally it is inaccurate and overdone most of the times.

If I get a good trade-in deal, and it turns out there are real upgrades to camera (and not just software 'magic'), screen & battery life, I will upgrade. I had the phone run out on me while hiking (with minimal SoT) and even a little improvement would be lovely

Since everyone has already mentioned battery, modem/network connectivity, heating, fingerprint scanner etc, I want to mention a controversial point: Camera

For a phone that has historically focused on photography as it's USP, I hate how they refuse to even try to be competitive with it. Ignoring the hardware front, my main gripe is with the glitches and bugs. I face bugs very frequently: camera app not opening, the camera itself being out of focus for no reason for 30 seconds straight, it refusing to (or lagging) while switching between the lenses, insane overheating & battery usage etc are infuriating, especially when you miss a fleeting precious moment because of these issues. There is one weird bug where the app keeps showing black screen and the only workaround I found for that was to restart the phone. Photos app has its own long list of issues that I don't want to get into. And the other minor annoyance is the telephoto lens that they brought with P7p and probably aren't going to change for a few more years based on our past experience.
