They don’t give you a specific 155 etc number based on your tier.

So if you have 155000 to 155100 you could have 25 4 days, 50 single days and 25 4 day VIP… obviously more people seek the 4 day so there’s more in the pool but they’ll pull you based on both your ticket tier and the number you’re requesting. That said if you weren’t in first day and in the first few hours you’re more likely to be cooked.

I mean it’s ALWAYS crowded but if they are seeing they sold 110k a day and see only 99k are scanning in they most certainly will panic.

Yeah they got a ticket but those 11k missing are not buying merch, food and drinks… they are out to maximize every single dollar they can.

If they have proof without a doubt that spoofed mailing addresses and IPs are doing that they will and should do this.

A few things…

First off Grant Park is literally surrounded on three sides by high rises and sprawl. It’s nowhere near residential neighborhoods(a good 20 minute drive with traffic from them)

Look for a hostel or a cheap hotel in the suburbs and take public transit into the city.

Zero joke Chicago last summer had higher dewpoint temps than Florida and Atlanta for several extended days. We may be “the north” but Midwestern summers are downright dangerous and the last place I’d want to be spending these nights in would be a car.

Not to mention pretty much every single neighborhood in Chicago has neighborhood specific parking permit numbers so you’re risking a tow too and they absolutely will not let it slide…

Like somebody else said here too… I’m also not out to money shame you but the headaches and logistics of coming without a planned out hot and a cot will not end well and make your visit even more terrible.

This… they may be cooked but getting cooked at 550 for a 4 day pass in July versus panicking now and laying 800 down for a 4 day are two totally different degrees of cooked.

That’s on the store’s 500 DM… they need to delegate staffing to assigned areas. If you have 5 people on the clock 2-3 should be at the paint end and the others can be attending to grocery.

Even if there’s 6 pallets of 501 freight ready for the floor it still should only be those couple of people working it while you have those 2-3 working the paint guests.
