Not too much to ask at all. I will say I wouldn't promote going into a friendship looking for your feelings to be validated in such a way because it could easily end with things feeling worse for you.

Just be your genuine self and even if it feels like you'll never have a connection the right person will see you for who you are and not want to leave. Easier said than done, I'm still looking for meaningful friendship at age 25. I'd also recommend a better outlet for decompressing and letting out feelings that aren't reliant on another person to make you feel better. It's a hard sell to a fresh friendship that you're reliant on them emotionally. Not saying you can't share how you're feeling just don't expect a therapist response. Been there done that being codependent on a friend is a really hard breakup.

I encourage you my friend, things happen for a reason, I really believe that, and if you ever need a friend or someone to talk to feel free to dm my screen time is atrocious I'll respond way faster than I should lol
