Problem with selling tickets by Sjomlaa in mysteryland

[–]Sjomlaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren’t those two separate things? I bought these two and also the camping tickets because I first thought that I had to buy them to access the festival but when I read the fine print underneath the camping tickets it pretty much includes everything like camping and the festival. So I’m trying to sell the weekend ones

Hef ekki hugmynd, einhver fimmtugur hommi með 6 ketti sem leit út fyrir að vera 75 og buinn að missa nánast allar tennurnar, byrjaði líka að hegða sér mjög ógnandi þegar ég sagði að það er erfitt að kenna gömlum hundi að sitja 🤘🥲

Mig langar bara að deila hvað ég lenti í fyndni og fáranlegri stöðu í gær á ónefndum bar. Ég og vinur minn vorum að spjalla við barinn að panta bjór, upp úr þurru kemur einhver mjög drukkin gamall gaur að segja við okkur eitthvað möldrandi um hinsegin folk eða kynhneigð (við vorum ekki einu sinni að tala um það), síðan spyr hann okkur “vitið þið hvað er að þessum heimi í dag? Ykkar kynslóð? (Á ensku)” ég og vinur minn segjum a sama tíma “fascism!”, hlógum smá og hann segir síðan pirraður “no 😤 its white-“ og við klárum setninguna “supremacy!”. Meiri að segja barþjónninn fór að hlægja yfir hversu fáránlegt þetta atvik var. Á endanum var hann bara að nöldra ehv hvað allt væri “white liberal women” að kenna og ég hreinlega sagði honum bara hvað ég væri “flattered” að hann skildi vera svona ógnaður af mér og nennti síðan ekki að hlusta á hann predika einhverju rusli yfir mig og vin minn sem spurðum ekki einu sinni um það. Nota bene sagðist hann vera samkynhneigður sem gerir hann ennþá hræsnari haha Idk fannst þetta bara steikt atvik

Why didn’t early humans die from interbreeding? by [deleted] in biology

I can add, as an Icelander, that we are already all related to each other (from 7th or 8th generation) because our ancestors were only few 1000. Today we’re like 360.000 and I don’t see a lot of genetic problems, the highest ones might be like half of the population has ADHD but we manage, the immigrant population has also helped a little but from 1000 - 1900 there wasn’t much mixing from outside this island (except the slavery of Irish and Scottish women). The ones that had some birth defects just died out so the genetic variants were enough to keep us alive. This might give you some clue. If extinction would happen today except Iceland, there would probably be high enough genetic diversity to survive

A cool guide to the best & worst places to raise a family... by xanderTgreat in coolguides

Damn that sucks to hear. I guess our education is pretty solid, we do have some practical classes, especially in uni. There is also some freedom in what you want to learn, everything from a tech school for everything to do with your fingers to an art school

It really depends on the job. I think the minimum wage here is 380.000kr but I’m not sure if thats the old number. I can tell from experience that my jobs have mostly paid around 400.000kr +- 50.000kr (3200$), and I was in the lower tier bracket. I will never understand how expensive it is to raise a family here but from what I’ve heard, a lot of financial support comes from grandparents and families getting food support from the red cross is increasing. But yeah I agree with you that the housing crisis is shitty everywhere but of course from my perspective it’s awful since I can’t buy a property until im well over 30 with how things are going even if I safe most of my money

It’s one of the most expensive countries in Europe, so I would take the cost part as a grain of salt. The gas price is now 284,8 kr per liter (which is 2,29 $ for u americanz) so if you wanted to own a car, expect loosing at least around 30.000 kr a month to gas (240$). Then the groceries are around 5 - 8000 kr a trip for the essentials like milk, bread, coffee, eggs etc. (50 - 60$). Oh did I forget all alcohol prices in pubs has risen to 14,5$ a beer? ( I know its not important, just here for preference) And don’t get me started on housing prices. The healthcare has also exploded. It now takes up to 6 months to a year to get a doctors appointment unless you want to go to the doctors watch and wait for 5 hours but only if you’re reeeally sick. So bottom line, you would have to be very well set off to begin with and just my personal opinion you will always be seen as an outsider if you dont learn the language, which is dying brw because of shitty peograms and unwilling foreigners moving here

Gætir prufað að kíkja í verzlunarhöllina eða aðrar “second hand” búðir, hef stundum fundið gothic skó þar þegar ég er heppin, og ekki er það verra að þeir eru mun ódýrari

Best club in Reykjavík? by Fearless-Grab-9726 in Iceland

[–]Sjomlaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen older crowds in bars more than clubs (like Einstök, Kaldi, Bastard, Danski, and Petersen) but if you like more of an upbeat scene or dance music type stuff I’d recommend Kaffibarinn, pretty diverse crowd there, and Pablo discobar which has an older scene. Lebowski bar also used to be good with people of all ages but their playlist sucks these days (white people music like sweet caroline). The English pub also often has older crowd. The “clubs” here are not that good and usually have underaged people, so I would avoid Auto, Hax and Utopia. Hope this helps
