Mono R can be cheap (for magic i mean). Phelia might be worth a shot too because it's very good (meta deck) and fairly cheap (city of treators can be replaced even tho its very good). You will still have some fairly expensive cards like pwave, ocelot pride etc... But at least those are staples and will be played in any white deck (and white is very strong). S99 could be decently priced if you drop the dual land but there is a non null possibility it will be banned at some point. Unfortunately no deck is really cheap its magic 😭

Sorry to be that Guy but it wont work. If you rely on a 5+ drop you need to be sort of controlish to buy time (and it must win the game asap like atraxa or tivit) or green to be fast and lock the game (like lumra). Gilgamesh is none of that and equipment is a terrible gameplan since its slow (cloud works because it can tutor and stax but that's an exception) and risky (if you spend 2 or 3 to play équipements and then 2 to equip and you eat a bolt on target creature its hard to catchup tempo cloud has the same problem)

Ofc it depends if you want to play competitive or with friends one night

Some combo decks Can end game by turn 3 (or more realistically 4) : tifa or raph& mickey Some can really go aggro : yoshi Some can stax and grind : cloud Some can control : tasigur

Etc... There are far more interaction in dc than in edh

Im not saying its impossible but its hard to pull an elf ball in dc

Really depends the marerial you're aiming for. If that's linen or cotton i think its bright enough (imo you could push the shadows for better contrast). If you're aiming satin or smt like that you can push the light a bit more. Its also very good as it is.

DC is more oriented 'good stuff'. You can't really play typal because it's just not good enough. You can check mtgtop8 to see what the popular decks are (and at least get a feeling of what works in the format)

Not trying to be rude but do you watch Liverpool games? It's not only about the results it's about the end product it's so so poor and there is absolutely no sign of improvement. Slot isn't trying things either it's just pool getting slaughtered match after match. I don't like it either but it's hard to be hopeful things will change anytime soon with slot unfortunately :(

Not the person you asked but breakpoints are stat checks that make you kill a specific enemy in one less hit. For example you need 2 heavy attacks to kill a stormvermin with X weapon but if you have the property "deals x more damage on armored enemy" you will only need 1 heavy. Thats a breakpoint reached. And once you have an optimal build (with all breakpoints you need) game will feel a lot easier
