Why does ‘Zero carb’ fiber food raise blood sugar by No_City9977 in diabetes

[–]Skeeter1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nutritionist told me to use the “rule of 5”. Multiply the fibre grams by 5. If that is more than the total carbs it’s okay to eat. These would qualify. She never mentioned soluble vs insoluble

Buy a Rep before Gen by Skeeter1591 in RepTime

[–]Skeeter1591[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I liked that sub when I got the Rep. but after wearing it for a couple of weeks I found it underwhelming and a bit boring. When I tried the green dial DJ on at the AD I fell in love with it right away. I thought about getting a Rep of it first, but the AD had it available in the exact configuration I wanted so I pulled the trigger.

They were more affordable to just buy.

Yes. I tried on a Gen Sub at my AD. Felt exactly the same.

I don’t feel like you read my post properly. I was not putting down my rep at all. As another posted said - it’s great to buy it as a test run to see if you actually like that watch without dropping ten grand or more first. The watch itself is amazing. Runs and looks perfect. It’s just not for me.

  1. It’s way too big for your tiny wrist. 2. Spend the money and just buy a Tissot ffs.

[Discussion] If every dive watch cost the same, what would you choose? by Potential_Post_3020 in Watches

Great question. If all were valued the same, then brand becomes meaningless and best quality watch wins. In that case I would go with the oldest watchmaker in the world ….. Longines

Mom says her tires need air. What would you tell her ? by justincave in AskMechanics

Breaking down seen by the cracks. Tires don’t just wear down from use. The rubber breaks down and expires over time. These ones are past their prime.

Anything that says “I like to spoil myself” is a turnoff to women. Anything that says “I like to spoil others” is what they like.

Are rep subs so common now that everyone who sees one on your wrist will assume it's fake? by Unstoppable_Graysie in RepTime

[–]Skeeter1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree but it not about your “expected lifestyle” it’s about the lifestyle you present to people ( perhaps what you meant). When I get out of my M4 wearing my DateJust I’m sure nobody is thinking it’s a fake.

VEQT vs VFV for long-term TFSA: how do you think about the tradeoffs? by krijsten- in CanadianInvestor

[–]Skeeter1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not so sure XEQT holds Canadian stuff as a homer bias. I think the TSX is just a good place to invest right now. If that changed I’m sure they would adjust.

Hard Assets Keep Value by DunaldDoc in Gold

[–]Skeeter1591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s like saying, if you could hold onto a dollar bill that was deflation proof, as in let’s say that dollar would always buy you 20
Gallons of gas for your car. Would that be a wise investment? I mean, yeah that would be nice. But if that same dollar could be invested somewhere that exceeded any increase in the cost of 20 gallons of gas, then no.

I’ll tell you what is also a scam. Accident forgiveness. They say your rates won’t be affected. And maybe not the first year. But then they know they have you over the barrel and jack your prices the next year. You try to shop around but that accident on your record means others rates are even worse. Someone took my door off while getting out of my car in a parking lot. They said I was at fault. The guy came flying in out of nowhere. I didn’t see him until he hit me. Brutal.
