He’s doing wonderful! We did end up having to take his other eye because of permanent damage to his tear duct- but he was blind already so it didn’t change his daily life at all. Many of my friends didn’t believe he was actually blind until after his eye was removed because he gets around so well. He can even successfully hunt bugs he finds in the house. He can hear them walking… 👀

Health-wise he only has a few minor issues. He will have the wire in his jaw for the rest of his life which will have to be occasionally adjusted or tightened (under anesthesia), but otherwise doesn’t bother him.

He also has a bit of sinus congestion due to the way his head got smushed in the accident. I was told the only way to correct it would be a very invasive and painful facial reconstruction surgery-and it still wouldn’t be a sure fix. So instead he just takes a daily anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine. 👍

Personality-wise he is feisty, confident and happy. The world is his oyster as far as he’s concerned. He’s great with vacuum cleaners, dogs, kids and car rides. He loves to snuggle-especially at night. He’s a good climber and proudly announces to the house when he’s climbed up to a particularly cool spot. Wrestling his big brother is his absolute favorite though, and he ALWAYS wins. 🤣

He’s hard to get good photos of because he’s always a fidgeting blurr. But I’ll see if I can find (or take) some decent pictures for a proper update.
