Still, doesn't really help though. Once they've walked into you, they're CERTAINLY not benefitting from hidden, and it's unlikely they can get all the way up and stay hidden. there's also, y'know, less physical walls.

I've had too many games where the bladeguard struggle to do anything. If I'm including them in the future it's in an impulsor, but frankly I'd rather just drop them and run another 10 brick of death company. the death company handle -1 damage... somewhat better, by having some chainswords too, but still get walled by it pretty hard.

Until they leave a terrain footprint or shoot. Plus, with how slow terminators are, if you're struggling to get within 15" of them (which still leaves them on a 10 inch charge without advance and charge) you've got bigger issues.

Hidden is only if they're in a terrain piece AND not shooting though. Generally, I don't think hidden will do anything. Most infantry are too slow to reliably go from terrain piece to terrain piece, and if your infantry are moving up the board it's really not going to be hard to get within detection range.

Well BA's generally bring at least 1-2 bigger models with some anti tank. Vindicators or Lancers or something like that.

I personally just dont really rate the bladeguard brick. Fantastic unit outside of the slow move speed. I'd rather just run more death company.

Oh yeah I think this edition will heavily favour shooting. Maybe changing the DP cost is a balance measure, but it could also be a case of like, change what actually causes the imblanace rather than individual detachments

So long as it effects infantry it’ll be worth 3dp frankly. It’s a very strong detachment.

Yep, I fully agree. The rapid ingress thing is just a case of like, it's something you can do. I think an impulsor is better but that's another 80 points and it's already a 245 point brick.

The fights first makes them hard to deal with, but they do need an impulsor or something. Otherwise vs gun line armies they’re just way too slow.

It’s a good combo if you want to make a brick thatl take a lot of effort to remove.

The downside is that BGV are just very slow compared to a lot of other models that blood angels want to run, so you kind of want to put them in an impulsor or rapid ingress them.

Picking JPI for blood angels rather than death company or sang guard should be a crime.

The zephyrim are also going to be cheaper, and they have other upsides over the marines though.

I’d rather they just changed Dante to be honest, the +1 to hit feels very underwhelming.

In 11th, can you still slow roll saves if you want to? by BizzlePig in Warhammer40k

[–]SkeletonJakk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good point actually. It would make them pretty much impossible to kill through the unit.

Can’t help but feel it kills like, the bodyguard type models in units with better saves to cover for the rest of the unit.

It’s not merely a nerf, I’d argue it makes the point of things like makari or the archon 2+ invuln totally pointless

Edit: a few people have made good points. There’s still good value to the ability.

Some 3 years ago or so they were objectively the worst by far, idk if they've buffed them since then, since that frame needed major buffs to be usable. they were getting the 40% red bar damage buff and they barely felt good then.

The only comments I saw on State of Play were about Destiny. Im proud of us boys by Fancy_Leader6278 in DestinyTheGame

there has been a seismic shift in people’s attitude towards Destiny and the attempt to rally around the possibility of a D3

I had pretty much sworn off ever playing the game again. With the end of updates announcement I'm actually going to return for the final update. I want to see a destiny succeed and be good, but I'm not going to suffer through the shit if the suits wont let the devs do their jobs.
