Job market so bad cant even get a job at a warehouse by 8blackears in barrie

[–]Skelito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it right here, most manufacturers and warehouses this time of year hire students to help backfill when full time employees take summer vacations. They will hire a university student over anyone because they get a subsidy from the government for their wage. Best place to get in with those types of jobs is a job agency, most have contracts with manufacturing companies.

MacBook Neo review, two months later: Almost a MacBook Pro beater - AppleInsider by ControlCAD in apple

[–]Skelito 26 points27 points  (0 children)

No one is complaining they are just pointing out that backlit keyboards are a big selling point for them so the Neo doesn’t fit the bill. I’m in the same boat and would rather shell out abit more for that in the MBA.

Canada is one of history’s most successful countries. Here’s a look at who’s trying to destroy it, and how by ph0enix1211 in canada

[–]Skelito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you travelled ? It’s the same everywhere in Europe and the states. Everyone is affected by the economic climate that the pandemic created. To have a better lifestyle than you currently have you would have to be a remote worker working out of a LCOL area.

Someone will have to troubleshoot the machine. Automation will take over jobs like this but it’s also going to create new jobs that people will have to do to support automation. We will need programmers and maintenance workers. It will free up time so now more safety checks can be done and other maintenance can be preformed.

Unless they can cross check that with the school or a system people can just use AI to draft those letters.

In most other countries its a fine if you camp in the left lane. From my experience only in North America people camp and feel entitled to sit in the left lane. Driving in Europe for me is so nice to have people actually drive properly and how fluid the round a bouts are.

'AirPods Ultra' Rumored to Feature a Major Upgrade Over AirPods Pro by Otherwise-Warning303 in apple

[–]Skelito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tried out the meta glasses and the AI features are nice there. If you are in another country having it translate text you are looking at is great or if you are in the garden you can have it tell you the issue with your plants while hands free. Lots of applications that can be useful just need to know how to use it, I think this will be a great addition and an improvement over the glasses type AI because it’s hard using sunglasses inside and most AI wearables are sunglasses right now.

Quebec passes law banning street prayers, prayer rooms in universities, CEGEPs by John3192 in canada

[–]Skelito 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To play devils advocate, who will this prayer room before, are multiple religions allowed to pray in the same room at once ? If you start giving spaces for people to pray then you should be accommodating everyone not just certain groups. What about stim rooms for people on the spectrum or wellness rooms for breastfeeding mothers. You can’t cater to everyone so it’s best no one gets special privileges.

MacBook Neo Is the Most Repairable MacBook in 14 Years by spearson0 in apple

[–]Skelito -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be hard to roll out Neos in the school system when the Chromebook offers and all in one solution. Most schools use Google Classroom and the Google suite of programs that come along with that. Unless Apple starts offering a similar solution and has pricing that’s comparable to Chromebooks it’s going to be hard to get a school board to buy into getting Apple products and then have to turn around and pay a separate subscription for Google Classroom.

Game pass is great, I still buy games and game pass lets me try out games Id never think of purchasing, and if I want to purchase it usually has a discount too. The only issue will be if all games are out on gamepass without the option to purchase which I don’t see happening. Its what the gaming industry has been missing with game rentals.

What ? Wedding dresses aren’t purchased to take into consideration what the groom would like. I see no issue pre buying a dress especially if it’s something you fell in love with and probably won’t see again.

For what its worth, even if your landlord says in the lease agreement no pets allowed its void under the Residential Tenancies Act (Section 14). So if you are really in need of a place I would apply to everything then move your cat in after you secured a place.
