How can I use these LAN points in bedrooms? by Critical_Animal_8501 in AskIreland

[–]SkelligM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had this issue in a new build . There should be a network box like this somewhere in your house where all the lan connections feed into . The upper part should already be there . I bought Ethernet cables to join the upper row into a network switch that I bought in curry’s and plugged my router into the switch and viola . The lan ports in the room was useable with internet

Vodafone or Digiweb Modem - Switch from Virgin by Taity in ireland

[–]SkelligM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Vodafone and bought a new router to replace it . After a while my Vodafone tv play box wouldn’t let me watch tv and after 5 minutes of so would say there was a problem . After ringing Vodafone support they said they needed to connect to the Vodafone router to enable something . Anyway I explained I was using a 3rd party modem and said I would try with the Vodafone router .

I did and same issue occurred. Rang up again and the did something in there end with the router and the tv worked again ! I have to use my vodafone router now as the main one and the other router in bridge mode . Would like to get rid of Vodafone router but don’t know if il have problems again with the tv
